What’s on the Table for Thursday?

What is going to be on your Thanksgiving tables this year? I can’t say for sure, but I know the typical things my mama cooks, so I have a pretty good idea what to expect for our family’s Thanksgiving feast. I know turkey and ham will be the meats we will be eating on Thursday. The vegetables will be green beans, mash potatoes, fried okra, corn on the cobb (just like the pilgrims had) and probably a big pot of soup beans. We will have dressing and giblet gravy along with some cranberry sauce. I like taking a bite of warm dressing and then cooling the mouth off with the cranberry sauce. Our bread for Thanksgiving will be homemade biscuits. We will have several desserts for our feast and I know sweet potato pie and a lemon pie will be two things that will be on the table. I’m sure there is a few more things that my family will be eating on Thanksgiving and I just can’t think of what those other items might be right now. I’m already getting hungry just talking about eating this meal, so Thanksgiving won’t get here soon enough for me! I hope you and your family have a pleasant Thanksgiving this year and your tables are just as full as mine will be on Thanksgiving!
