Ant Farms
Have you ever owned an ant farm? I have never had one, but wouldn’t mind owning one. I guess the trick is not to let the ants out. I have had honeybees and enjoy watching them work. Honeybees and ants are a lot alike and you have one queen that is responsible for adding new members to the colonies. You have worker ants and worker bees that are responsible for keeping everything in order and bringing in food for the queen and the rest of the workforce. Ants and bees will spend their whole life searching and carrying back food to their colonies and they never have a retirement period; so they can sit back and enjoy the fruits of their labor.
I guess a good ant farm to start out on would be the AntWorks Illuminated Ant Farm. This isn’t what you think of ant farms looking like when you picture one in your head. This one really looks cool and it’s something you would want to display in your living room or den for everyone to see. I think my 3 year old twin nephews would really enjoy an ant farm like this one. I’m sure their uncle would get just as much enjoyment out of it as they would. It really is something that the kids and adults would both enjoy. If you have someone in your family that has a birthday coming up soon, consider getting them an ant farm as a gift. It would certainly be something they wouldn’t be expecting to get and I’m sure they would remember your gift for many birthdays to come. What are some of the unusual gifts you have got for your birthdays?
