Your ready to get your website going and your all fired up to do so. You have the energy and will to do whatever it takes to get your Google PR moving up. Where would you begin first? That’s a good question and I’m not sure if it has a true answer or not. From a time standpoint you would be able to help your website faster by getting links directed toward your website. Building up quality content and keeping fresh content pouring into your site takes time. If I wanted to get my PR up as soon as possible; then I would probably go the links route.

You want as many links as you can pointing toward your website. This is the first goal for all webmasters seeking a higher PR from Google. They do state they want quality links and quality in link terms would be that it’s a link from another website that closely resembles your website. It’s not too important when you first start to get related links. You want links of anything and everything to start with and obtaining links that is about a similar subject matter can come later. You can start tweaking your links down the road and boost your link quality then; so for now just get links!

Always do a good job with new content you add to your website. Make sure that your new content does relate to your website and it is important to always have quality content. In terms of quality for content, it needs to relate like links do, but it has to also be beneficial to your visitors. It needs to be something that is unique and isn’t found in too many other places. A lot of this would depend on what your website is actually about and the theme you have going, but it’s up to each webmaster to establish a high level of quality for all the new content they add to their sites.

Links are your best route to obtain quick and positive results with Google. Your content is a way to preserve any rankings you do obtain from Google and the better your content is; the longer the shelf-life of your current PR or Page Rank will be. It doesn’t take much to get a PR 1 ranking with Google, trying to move up and maintaining that PR 1 is the tough part. Try to do something every week to increase your SEO knowledge and applying SEO techniques to your websites.
