Stimulus Package Rebate Checks
Well I just got my taxes done today and see if I qualified for the $600 stimulus package rebate checks and I did! I will be getting the 600 dollars but the bad news is that I have to pay in about 590 dollars. So once I pay in for my taxes this year and then get my stimulus check, I will be making 10 dollars! So I’m not super excited about this year’s rebate checks, but at least they will cover the tax money that I owe back to the government this year.
I’m sure many will have fun with their extra 600 bucks they will be getting. I bet many people already know what they will be doing with that extra money they will be getting in May. I guess my plans will have to revolve around 10 dollars and that is all the planning I will be able to do with my stimulus package rebate check. What is your plans for the money? Did you get the whole 600 dollars? Everyone that files taxes this year and made at least 3,000 dollars last year will get 300 dollars. If you made more than 6 thousand dollars you will be getting back the full amount of 600 dollars! Those that are married and will be filing their taxes out as one will get back 600 and 1,200 dollars if made over the minimums in 2007.
I got taxed 15% for being a self-employed worker, so that’s the reason I have to pay taxes in this year. I guess for 2009 I will have to come up with the entire amount and I doubt I will have a rebate check to fall back on then. So I will have to start putting money away now, so I will be able to afford my taxes next year.
