Song Rights Being Protected at You Tube

There was a time you could go to You Tube and grab just about any video and embed it to your website or blog. This isn’t as easy any more and many videos at You Tube are becoming disabled when you look at the option to embed the video. Many of these songs are the original videos or performances of someone famous. I guess this is an attempt to make people pay to download these songs or go to the music stores to buy them.
It seems a bit harsh and we need to look at ways to make it easier on everyone instead of harder. I realize this takes money out of the hands of the music companies and performers, but these guys make more money than they should. They are amongst the upper class in our society and for them to take a pay cut is better than the poor man having to pay for their products.
I think users should have the ability to download songs for free online or go to YouTube and snag a real video or song. It just makes things easier and we need a society that is geared more to helping than charging people. We get “nickel” and “dimed” enough already and it’s time we start looking at free ways to do things. Everyone can still make money and be happy if music is available for free online. The music we hear in our ears everyday should not be another bill that we have to pay each month.
Digital TV has made it impossible to watch free TV now and the only thing left for free is the music on our radios. I don’t think it will stay free much longer on the direction we are heading right now. Let’s help fight for music and keep it free for everyone and give the poor man a hand.
