I have come to number 9 on the countdown this week. This is a band that has a continent’s name and is known world-wide. The song has a simple 1 word title, but it’s probably one of the first songs you think of when you hear this group’s name.

Europe’s Carrie makes the 9th best song on my countdown of the top 10 rock ballads of all time. This is a nice song to hear and I think most people that is my age remember this song. It was released in 1986 and you can still hear this song being played on the radio 22 years later. A song that can stand the test of time makes it quality material for any countdown. The song Carrie was on the album The Final Countdown and it was a huge hit for the band Europe that is from Sweden.
So now we have 20% of the top ten countdown in place with Cinderella’s Don’t Know What You Got coming in at number 10 and Carrie by Europe is number 9 on the best rock ballads of all time.
