What is the best concert you have ever attended? I have only been to about 4 or 5 conerts in my life, so not a lot to choose from. I went to see Metallica and Guns N Roses about 18 years ago in South Carolina. The concert was in the same stadium that the South Carolina Gamecocks played football in. That was a great concert and probably the best talent I have seen on stage at one time, but I did get a bad sunburn from that trip and not sure I would say it was my favorite. Tesla was another concert I went to and I really enjoyed it. I remember going to that concert on a school night and didn’t get home until 1 or 2 o’clock in the morning. Going to a concert on a school night was pretty fun and it seem like you was doing something that you wasn’t suppose to be doing. I guess if I ever have kids, I will have to go back and delete this blog post, so they won’t get any ideas about wanting to go to a concert on a school night. I think Tesla would be the best concert I have ever went to and enjoyed the experience and the songs that were played. I have also seen Melissa Etheridge in concert and I won those tickets playing trivia at Hooters. So her show was free to see. I have also went to a Def Leppard concert and these were the best seats I ever had. I showed up at Turtles about 2 hours before they were to go on sale. I was 6th in line at the time, but they brung numbers out and we had to draw and I got a really high number. Luckily one of the people I was talking to got number 1 in the drawing, so she got to buy her tickets first. I gave her the money and she bought me 2 tickets as soon as they went on sale that morning. I ended up with 2nd row seats and was right there at the band. So those are a few of my best concert memories. Please be sure to share your favorite concert story or the best band or person you have seen on stage or just let me know what is the best seats you ever got for a concert.

I have reached the top spot on the countdown. I have been going through the best 10 rock ballads ever and I am ready to announce the top one of them all! Rock ballads are often great songs by bands that have lyrics with great meaning and played at a much slower tempo from their normal songs. Most of the time a ballad that a band chooses is what makes or breaks them. You have to have a couple of good fast paced songs, but the rock ballad can be the thing that moves the band to the next level. This next band had a lot of good songs and even a few rock ballads that were good. I believe this ballad is the top one ever and when you factor in all of the other great songs they did, it makes them a really good band. So here is my top rock ballad of all time!
Top Rock Ballad Ever
This was and is still a great song even today!
So many great things about this song led me to make it the best rock ballad of all time. It has the meaningful lyrics and the music goes from slow to up beat and shows the versatility of the band. Skid Row has a lot of good songs and I Remember You is one of their best ones. This rock ballad is one that you like to hear come on the radio and makes you just want to turn up the volume and go down memory lane with Sebastian Bach. Sebastian is very proud of this song and even talks about how everyone in 1990 dance to I Remember You at their prom in high school. He said that if you can do a song that everybody dance to like that in 1990 that you must have did something right.
I Remember You was released by Skid Row in 1989 and almost 20 years later, this is still a very good song. Skid Row also done other very popular songs like 18 and Life, Monkey Business, Slave to the Grind, Youth Gone Wild and Wasted Time. What is your favorite song by Skid Row? Do you think I Remember You is their best? Please be sure to let me know your favorite Skid Row song or songs and what you think about I Remember You as the top rock ballad of all time.
If you missed any of my other top 10 rock ballads, be sure to go back and review what I think are the top 10 best rock ballads of all time. Congratulations to Skid Row for having the top rock ballad on my blog about 20 years after they first released I Remember You!

There are two more awesome rock ballads to go in my top 10 countdown of the best rock ballads of all time. It’s been a fun journey going this far and remembering some of the best rock ballads of all time. I’m sure some of you might have forgotten 1 or 2 of the rock ballads that have been featured in my top 10 countdown. I believe most would have known all 8 songs that I have did so far and believe even more would know my second best rock ballad on the top 10 countdown.
2nd Greatest Rock Ballad of All Time
This is my choice for number 2 on the countdown!
This song was really huge when it came out back in 1988. I believe just about every teenager and even the adults were a fan of this song. Poison certainly struck gold when they released Every Rose Has Its Thorn. This was the type of song back in the 1980’s that you would go camping and without any guitars or musical instruments, you could get about 4 or 5 people singing this song together in harmony and it was an awesome campfire song to sing. I can still remember today when I was out working in the city of Canton and two co-workers of mine on a Saturday afternoon got together and sung Every Rose Has Its Thorn. I really didn’t pay much attention to it at the time when it was being played on the radio, but after two of my co-workers sung this song together, I could never get enough of hearing this song. I have listened to it everyday since then, anytime I’m at a club or hear it being played on the radio. This song has a lot of memories for me, but it is worthy of a slot in anyone’s top 10 countdown of the best rock ballads of all time.
Poison’s Every Rose Has Its Thorn was on their 2nd album Open Up and Say… Ahh! and it was the 3rd single that got released from that album. This song reached number 1 status in the USA back in 1988 on Christmas Eve and it stayed there for 3 weeks and carried on over into 1989. So I guess you could say this song stayed number 1 for two years. No not really, but was listed as the number 1 ranked song in this country for different years and that’s really no big surprise when you hear just how good this song really is.
Brett Michaels wrote this song in response to a failed relationship with a California stripper. After performing a show in Dallas, Texas; Brett gave the young lady a call and he heard a man’s voice in the background and this broke his heart. So the love affair might have ended, but born from it, is one of the best power rock ballads of all time and its so good, I gave Every Rose Has Its Thorn 2nd place honors in my top 10 countdown.
So that does it for this time and now I only have 1 more great rock ballad to add to complete this top 10 countdown. If you missed any of my other selections, just go look at the post I did on the 3rd best rock ballad ever and it will show a recap at the bottom of the page for the entire countdown so far. So stay tuned, because number 1 is next!

My top 10 rock ballads countdown is rolling along. I have already named 7 great rock ballads and only have 3 spots left for the best of the best when it comes to rock ballads. I’m sure my next 3 rock ballads could easily be number 1 on anybody elses top 10 list. So the exact order isn’t really important, but I do believe most will agree with my next 3 choices as being top 10 rock ballads of all time. So let’s get to it and here’s my choice at number 3 for this week!
3rd Top Rock Ballad of All Time
Ok, the 3rd spot on the countdown doesn’t just go to a song, but actually more to the group. Bed of Roses by Bon Jovi is a great song and is the video I selected for the third best rock ballad of all time. However, Bon Jovi is the king of rock ballads and they have put out more great rock ballads than any other band. So any Bon Jovi Rock Ballad could be plaed in the number 3 spot in my countdown. Bed of Roses would be tied with I’ll Be There for You and is another really great rock ballad that Bon Jovi has produced. Another solid song that is worth a top 10 consideration would be Always by Bon Jovi.
The song Bed of Roses was released by Bon Jovi in 1993. This song was featured on Bon Jovi’s album Keep the Faith. This song did reach the 10th spot in the early 1990’s on the Billboard Hot 100. Jon Bon Jovi wrote this song in a hotel room, while he was recovering from a hangover.
The band Bon Jovi is from Sayreville, New Jersey. When the band started their members was lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, bassist Alec John Such and drummer Tico Torres. I doubt the band could have imagined then just how big and successful they would actually become. The band has sold over 34 million albums in the United States, but the band’s popularity reaches beyond the borders of this country and on the global scale; they have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide. So it would seem that 1 or 2 people like their music out there and I am someone that loves most of the songs the band has came out with. The song Wanted Dead or Alive is one of my favorite songs of all time and the line in the song that says “I seen a million faces and I rocked them all” is one of the greatest lines in a rock song ever!
So what is your favorite Bon Jovi song? Answering a question like that is a lot like asking to name your favorite song of all time. Most people don’t have just 1 song they consider their favorite and since Bon Jovi has so many great songs, it’s hard to name the best song by them.
So I have no problems with awarding Bon Jovi the 3rd spot in my countdown of the greatest rock ballads of all time. You can go back and check the other great rock ballads I have listed so far in my top 10 countdown.
10 - Cinderella
9 - Europe
8 - Sheriff
7 - Night Ranger
6 - Guns N’ Roses
5 - Saigon Kick
4 - Tesla
3 - Bon Jovi

1 - Coming Soon!

The countdown is in full swing and it keeps getting better as I get to reveal the top 4th rock ballad that exists out there now. So many great rock ballads exist out there, so picking only 10 is a hard job to do. I do think I am listing the 10 best in terms of popularity today, personal taste and just how popular they were when they first came out. So I won’t keep you in suspense any longer and let you know what the 4th best rock ballad is.
4th Best Rock Ballad
Great song!
I got to hear these guys in concert back in the early 1990’s and they put on a good show in concert. Yes, Tesla’s Love Song is the 4th top rock ballad out there. This is a great song and even today it’s consider a good song by most. Tesla has a lot of good songs, but there is no doubts that Love Song is the one that put them on the map and will make newer generations continue to know the name Tesla. I don’t think anyone could complain that this song is not worthy of a top 10 choice when deciding on the top 10 rock ballads of all time.
This song was released in 1989 and MTV didn’t waste any time getting this one on the air. It was in heavy roatation and the song rose to number 10 in the U.S. charts and was one of the biggest hits by the group Tesla. Tesla is from Sacramento, California and the video was shot in their hometown of Sacramento. If you look in the background you can see banners hanging from a local radio station there called 93 Rock. The band called their self “City Kidd”, but would later change their name before they released their first album Mechanical Resonance. The original members that made up Tesla are Jeff Keith, Frank Hannon, Tommy Skeoch, Brian Wheat and Troy Luccketta. Tesla’s music is considered heavy metal, but most will describe their songs as hard rock with a bluesy feel.
The band really put their self on the map of rockers all around when they released the album The Great Radio Controversy and it was on this album that Love Song was born and sometimes that is all it takes to put a band on the map. Just get that one hit that will be huge and the fame and fortunes that come from being in a rock band will follow. Another great album that was produced by the band was Five Man Acoustical Jam and Love Song was also on this album too. This album had several good songs, but perhaps one of the best songs on this album was Signs.
So Tesla swoops in and grabs the 4th spot on my countdown of the top 10 rock ballads of all time. I still have 3 more awesome rock ballads to put up, so don’t worry if you haven’t seen your favorite rock ballad yet, it’s possible it might just be my favorite rock ballad of all time too!
If you missed the other rock ballads I have picked out, be sure to go back and see what was the 10th, 9th, 8th, 7th, 6th and 5th best rock ballads of all time.
The countdown continues…

I have the next rock ballad for the top 10 rock ballads of all time. I really like this song and it’s worthy of a top 10 pick as one of the greatest rock ballads of all time.
5th Best Rock Ballad of All Time
Great song!
The number 5 song on the countdown is Love Is On the Way and the band that sang that song is Saigon Kick. The band came from Miami, Florida in 1988 and this was their biggest song. It managed to climb up to number 7 on the Billboard Pop Charts and was played in all the clubs during it’s release in the early 1990’s. The video had a long run on MTV and was in their top 10 video countdown for many weeks back during the 1990’s. I bet the band probably thought that would be the last awards this great rock ballad would be given, but I am pleased to announce to the members of Saigon Kick, that you just got 1 more award for that great song! You got your song on my top 10 rock ballads of all time and this almost 20 years later! I think people will still enjoy listening to Love Is On the Way by Saigon Kick 20 years from now too.
So what are your thoughts on the countdown so far? Maybe you didn’t know I was having one and have no idea what other rock ballads I have selected to this point. You can go back and review the previous 5 songs and you know the band Saigon Kick made the list at number 5. That leaves me with 4 more spots to try and find the top 10 rock ballads of all time. It’s going to get difficult, but the best rock ballads are still to come! Any ideas on what you think the top rock ballad of all time is? I would love to hear thoughts on your favorite rock ballad of all time or feel free to list 2 or 3 of them.
10th Best Rock Ballad

It’s starting to get fun as I work my way to the best rock ballad of all time. I get to name the 6th best rock ballad right now.
6th Best Rock Ballad
The top 6th rock ballad I have on my countdown is GNR with Patience. The GNR is better known as Guns N’ Roses and they are considered by many the best rock band of all time. When you factor in all the great songs that this band has done over the years, it’s hard to argue that this band isn’t the greatest of all time. You would be hard-pressed to find another rock band or any band under any genre of music that could boast about having as many quality songs as GNR has done. If your doing any top 10 list for rock songs or in this case rock ballads, you just about have to include the band Guns N’ Roses.
The song Patience by Guns N’ Roses appears on their album G N’ R Lies and was first released as a single. While Axl Rose might be the main guy for the band, this song was written by the rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin. The hotel in which the video was shot at was not in operation and just days after the shooting of this video, the building was demolished. Axl is the only original member left in the band Guns N’ Roses and it was almost if the end of this video was foreshadowing to the future, as you see Axl Rose all alone and watching old videos of the band. Patience is a great song and deserves rock ballad recognition at number 6 on my countdown of the top 10 rock ballads of all time.
So now I reached the midway point of my top 10 countdown, you can back through and see the the 10th best, 9th best, 8th best, 7th best rock ballads of all time and the 6th best rock ballad of all time was Patience by Guns N’ Roses. Don’t worry if you haven’t seen your favorite rock ballad yet, the best is yet to come! The countdown from here will showcase the top 5 rock ballads of all time and they are by far the pick of the litter, when your talking about the best ballads ever in rock n’ roll music. So sit back and relax; keep your eyes open to see which rock ballad will be next on the list at number 5.

I have 3 down and 7 more to go, to name the best 10 rock ballads of all time. So I am currently at the 7th spot this time and here is the next rock ballad on the list.
7th Best Rock Ballad of All Time
Another great rock ballad from the 80’s!
The group is called Night Ranger and the name of the 7th best rock ballad of all time is Sister Christian. This is a great song that was written and sung by the drummer Kelly Keagy and he wrote this song for his sister. Night Ranger put this song on the album Midnight Madness and went up to number 5 on the top 100 songs by Billboard Hot 100. I’m sure most would agree that this is one of the top 10 ballads of all time.
I can remember as a kid one summer and playing outside a lot on the trampoline. I would have a radio in the window, so I could listen to music and jump on the trampoline. Everytime I hear this song, it makes me think of those hot summer days I would spend on the trampoline and hearing the song Sister Christian being played on the radio. It was so popular back then, that I think they would play this song once every hour on the radio and everybody seem to love this song at the time.
So that is my choice for the 7th best rock ballad of all time and I still have 6 more to choose from. It gets much tougher now trying to find only 6 more songs to list on this top 10 countdown. There are so many great rock ballads out there, that if you only list 10, your going to be leaving off some very good ones. So I can’t fit them all on here, but I will fit the 10 best ones!
10th Rock Ballad - Don’t Know What You Got Till’s It Gone - Cinderella
9th Rock Ballad - Carrie - Europe
8th Rock Ballad - When I’m with You - Sheriff
7th Rock Ballad - Sister Christian - Night Ranger
6th Rock Ballad - ???
5th Rock Ballad - ???
4th Rock Ballad - ???
3rd Rock Ballad - ???
2nd Rock Ballad - ???
1st Rock Ballad - ???

It’s number 8 for this portion on the best rock ballads of all time. You can now check out the song that I rank as one of my top 10 best rock ballads and this song is number 8 on the countdown!
8th Best Rock Ballad of All Time
When I’m With You by Sheriff is number 8 on my top 10 countdown of the best rock ballads of all time. In 1989 this song went to number 1 in the United States. Not to bad for this band from Canada and they really did create some magic when they got together and sang this song. Its one of the songs you will find on all the monster ballads or any other type of cd or album you might buy with the best rock ballads of all time on them.
The song was written by the keyboard player in the band Sheriff and his name is Arnold Lanni. Apparently Arnold had just met this girl and he sat down at the piano and began to write this beautiful song. He would later give it as a valentines day gift to the lady he was thinking of and it worked, because two years later they got married! So just a little tip out there for the single guys looking for a sweetheart; you might want to sit down and see if you can write the perfect lyrics like Arnold Lanni did from the band Sheriff.
So this gets us to number 8 on the countdown and you can go back and see which songs I have listed as the 9th best rock ballad and the 10th best rock ballad of all time. I will be back soon to let you know what I think is the 7th greatest rock ballad ever made was! The countdown continues…

If you like music as much as me, you will want to be sure you’re tuning into the best new radio stations possible. There are radio stations in New York that you could be listening to! It’s great knowing that you can plug into the best New York High Definition Radio stations that are available. You will find that there is tons of good stations out there and you might not always get them from your local antenna reception. There are ways to get music from other areas of the world and you don’t need a 1 mile tall antenna to get it either. iTunes is a great place for music and I’m sure every music lover out there will find songs to match their taste. If you have friends online or on the computer they might can direct you to some good places to look or let you know about new songs that are coming out over the airwaves. Don’t forget that you can use your iPod dock with iTunes Tagging and tag those songs you hear playing over the airwaves. This is a great way to store all your favorite songs!
I know everybody has their own taste of music and with so many different types out there; it’s easy to see why. Is your taste for music in Jazz, Rock N Roll, Blues, Country, R&B, Rap, Gospel or some other type? I’m sure you will find any type of music that your heart desires if you see the huge selection that iTunes has to offer. There is no way you could sit down and listen to all their songs they have available in one day and I doubt you could do it in a whole week either. You will be able to sit down and listen to the type of music you want to hear and it’s a great way to listen to your favorite songs in HD style!
We already have the television sets that are in HD and now it’s time our ears get to listen to some of the cleanest, best sounding music possible. It’s good to see that you can get a HD Radio Receiver and start listening to music the way it was meant to be heard. So this is great news for all the people out there, that like to crank the tunes up as much as I do and radio will never be the same again!

I have come to number 9 on the countdown this week. This is a band that has a continent’s name and is known world-wide. The song has a simple 1 word title, but it’s probably one of the first songs you think of when you hear this group’s name.
9th Best Rock Ballad of All Time
That is a good song!
Europe’s Carrie makes the 9th best song on my countdown of the top 10 rock ballads of all time. This is a nice song to hear and I think most people that is my age remember this song. It was released in 1986 and you can still hear this song being played on the radio 22 years later. A song that can stand the test of time makes it quality material for any countdown. The song Carrie was on the album The Final Countdown and it was a huge hit for the band Europe that is from Sweden.
So now we have 20% of the top ten countdown in place with Cinderella’s Don’t Know What You Got coming in at number 10 and Carrie by Europe is number 9 on the best rock ballads of all time. Make sure you check back soon and see what the number 8 rock ballad of all time will be. Feel free to chime in and let me know what some of your favorite rock ballads of all time are.

The countdown is on to find the top 10 rock ballads of all time. Those great songs from the 80’s and 90’s that still makes us want to crank up the radio when we hear them. A rock ballad is that one song you can identify a rock band or singer with. The ballad is like their theme song or it can be the first song that comes to your mind when you hear the singer or group’s name. I love a lot of the rock ballads that have came out over the years and this will be tough to get the top 10 of all time in this countdown. I’m sure I could pick 50 great rock ballads and I will still leave one off.
So to get the countdown started I will start with number 10 and work my way up to number 1. I will release a new ballad every few days and you can chime in and let me know how I am doing with my countdown to the greatest rock ballad of all time!
10th Best Rock Ballad of All Time
For anyone that was around when this song came out can remember just how popular it was. If you ever had the chance to attend a Cinderella concert you would get chills just listening to the piano that would start this song off. It’s truly a classic and I think it will be one rock ballad that will always be associated with the group Cinderella.
So number 10 is in the books and I have 9 more great rock ballads to come, so stick around and see which one I will name as the greatest rock ballad of all time!

I see American Idol has a special two hour show on tonight with their final 12 contestants for this season. It’s really boring to watch if you ask me. Remember when MTV use to show videos? Remember when they use to sing on American Idol? Well these days you can’t watch music videos on MTV and you can’t see the amateur singers, singing on American Idol. I could care less about most of the stuff they show on American Idol and they spend 20 minutes of talk and letting the judges talk for every 2 minute singing performance you get to hear. It’s really not worth watching American Idol anymore and I can’t wait until someone gives the same product with more singing. When that occurs, there won’t be any more high paying advertisers looking for spots on American Idol anymore.
I really do like seeing the singers, but just way too much talk for my taste!

This is true and due to a fight the superstar rocker had in Georgia at a Waffle House last year, he will be spending his time working at a local Waffle House in Georgia. Kid Rock will go on stage in front of thousands tonight in Atlanta, but he will first have to make sure that everyone gets their hash browns scattered, covered and smothered. That’s Waffle House lingo for the different ways they prepare their hash browns. I really like the food at Waffle House, but it’s hard to find good cooks and good service. You always take a gamble on the service that Waffle House has on staff; when you do decide to go in for a good meal there. So Kid Rock won’t have high standards to live up to and I’m sure he will do just as well as any of the other workers they have at our Waffle Houses in Georgia.
I would really like to go there and see all the commotion that his appearance is causing. I’m sure many fans will be driving a long ways today, just to get a bite of food and see the talented Kid Rock. He’s a special talent that is out there today and so many of his songs are felt from the heart. He has an interesting blend of gospel, rock and rap music, but he has that magical ability to make it all sound right at the end of the day.
I’m sure Amen will be performed in Atlanta tonight as that is the latest tune Kid Rock has out right now. He has a lot of other great songs and he’s one artist that can really get a crowd going. So much energy in his music and the way he performs is what makes Kid Rock the hottest musical talent on the scene today. He has a wide-range of audience from young to old, women to men and people from all sorts of professions. Kid Rock’s popularity is still going up and I’m sure his sentence to do community service in Atlanta, for Waffle House, will make him that much more popular.
Amen by Kid Rock

A Whole New World by the Young YouTube Sensation Alex
So what did you think of Alex’s performance? Here is another version of the song A Whole New World.
Nick Pitera Sings A Whole New World
Alex’s video was a video response to Nick Pitera singing A Whole New World over at You Tube. Is Alex’s version better than Nick Pitera’s version or just as good? Obviously Nick’s voice is amazing at how he can change levels in this song and might have the advantage, since this song is usually performed by a man and a woman. If you think you have heard this song in a movie; then you’re right! This was the popular song from the movie Aladdin and was being played on all the radio stations when the movie Aladdin was being seen in theaters.
How do you think the You Tube Sensation Alex would do against fellow YouTubers? There is a post on the blog Single Source Writing that has You Tube Members singing A Whole New World. Listen to 5 other performances of people giving their own version and style to this great song A Whole New World. You can also be treated to a 6th performance as Alex’s YouTube Video is over there too!
Please be sure to vote on the best performance; from the YouTuber you liked best. Which member of You Tube done the the best job on this song? Did anyone do a better job than the Young You Tube Star Alex?
Single Source Writing is a blog that has been keeping up with Alex and tracking her latest singing performances through the videos she uploads at YouTube. This young teen from Mexico has been posting her videos for the whole world to see. She has started to gain a fan base from her exposure on You Tube. She has come a long ways from a few comments to each video; to now dozens and dozens of comments and usually you can find Alex replying back to a lot of them.
So what does Alex want to do when she grows up? It’s not perfectly clear right now, but Alex does want to play a part in the music industry. She has the talents for singing, the passion for picking strings on the guitar and a desire to compose music too. She is talented and smart enough to probably succeed in any one of these areas and maybe more than just 1. The future remains bright for this rising star from You Tube and I’m sure Alex will succeed in which ever direction she eventually chooses.
It seems high school has got her thinking more and more about being in a band. Alex has also performed in public places at her local home in Mexico State, just outside of Mexico City in Mexico. I’m not sure if Mexico will always be able to keep her there as one day you could easily see her in the USA or overseas in a place like Europe performing on stage or in front of a television camera. The world is just now slowly learning about the YouTube Sensation, but the powers of the internet and You Tube has gave this talented teen a world wide audience that grows more each day. If you would like to keep up with Alex or just see more of her great videos, be sure to check her out at Single Source Writing.
A star in the making to be continued…

The day has arrived for me to reveal the top 5 song of all time by Garth Brooks. I have been going through the best Garth Brooks songs of all time over the last few weeks. I have finally reached the top spot on the countdown. You can go back and review what songs I listed as Garth’s best five ever!
Top Garth Brooks Song
Was there ever any doubt that this song wouldn’t be number 1?
I recently saw Garth Brooks here in Atlanta, at the NHL All Star game. He was here watching some good hockey while raising a lot of money for charity. Yes, the Dance is the song everyone will always know Garth Brooks from. In the video for the Dance you can see people that lost their lives early, who probably wouldn’t have changed a thing in their lives, so they wouldn’t have missed the dance they did in life. People like the NASA astronauts that lost their life when the space shuttle Challenger exploded over the Florida skies, Lane Frost the rodeo sensation and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., all were in the video by Garth Brooks song the Dance. You could even see the late John F. Kennedy featured in the video, who was another great American that lost his life way too early.
Garth mentions at the end of the video if anything was to ever happen to him; that he would like this song to be played for him. I’m sure Garth has many more decades on this planet, but when ever that time does come, I’m sure people all over the world will get a good dose of the Dance.
The Dance is a great song and its a song that will live through the ages. There will always be room for a song like this in our lives and this song will still be heard after everybody that heard it originally is long go. Let the Dance live in your hearts and if you have never heard this song before, go back and really listen close to the lyrics. The Dance is the top song on my Garth Broooks countdown and it would be number 1 on anybody else’s countdown too.
Be sure to check out the rest of the songs on my top 5 countdown for Garth Brooks. All songs can be found under “Favorite Singer” here on my blog! See if Garth’s latest song More Than A Memory made the top 5 countdown!

Have you guys and gals been watching American Idol? Has anyone caught your eye as the next American Idol? I’m sure you have already had a few laughs. Be sure to let me know who you think is doing really well on American Idol or who has cracked you up the most. You can become a star if your singing is too bad, just ask William Hung. He did that Ricky Martin song “She Bangs” and people are still talking about that 4 years later!
2004 American Idol’s William Hung
Now that video brings back a few memories. There’s a Princes Leah singer that will be giving William Hung a run for his money. Now one of the talented singers that has stuck out in the 2008 American Idol is Kristy Lee Cook. She has those 3 names like the famous killers of our time; Lee Harvey Oswald, John Wayne Gacy, O J Simpson. I don’t know if Kristy’s self defense tactics has made her a killer yet, but she is going to kill the dreams of many American Idol hopefuls. She is the early favorite and I would imagine that she makes it to the last 4 or 5 singers, that are left in the competition.
Amazing Grace by Kristy Lee Cook
Let me know who you like so far in the American Idol competition. I’m sure who ever wins this year; there will be millions and millions of people all over the world tuning in to watch. Idol still has those 3 famous judges in place Paula, Randy and some guy named Simon.

The top 5 countdown of Garth Brooks best songs is getting close to revealing the number 1 song of all-time by the country music legend. I have arrived at the 2nd spot on the countdown now. So I don’t think too many will complain that this Garth Brooks Classic is truly his 2nd best song that he has ever performed. Turn your speakers up and grab your friends around the computer and sing along, to the 2nd best song ever by Garth Brooks!
Garth Brooks 2nd Best Song
They might just want to call this the party song! I have found my self many times at a party or in a club and this song comes on and just everybody in the house will sing along to it. The lyrics are catchy and repeat their self enough, so that you remember the lyrics after only hearing the song a few times. I guess some people could consider Friends In Low Places as the Redneck National Anthem!
Friends In Low Places is the 2nd best song ever done by the superstar of country music Garth Brooks. I can’t think of another song that deserves this honor more. I believe a lot of people can relate to this song and I’m sure we all have a few friends that are in low places. Heck, some of us might just be the friends in low places and this song speaks directly to us!
A quick review of the countdown and you can see the 5th Top Song, 4th Top Song and the 3rd Top Song by Garth Brooks. I have included songs like Rodeo, More Than A Memory and If Tomorrow Never Comes in my top 5 countdown of Garth Brooks songs.
Do you have a favorite Garth Brooks song? Please feel free to share your top Garth Brooks songs or comment on the way I have ranked them so far. Have you ever seen Garth Brooks in concert? If Garth decides to hit the road again, what city or cities do you think he must go to? I know the folks in Atlanta, Georgia would turn out by the thousands to get a chance to see Garth Brooks in conert one more time. He showed us all in the last few concerts he did in the Midwest that he has a heart and will give people what they want. I believe if enough fans get up in a certain city or section of the country, they could land a Garth Brooks concert. I do know that breast cancer is very close to Garth Brooks heart right now and anything that would support the fight against breast cancer would have Garth Brooks attention. Just let me know what’s on your mind!

I have arrived at number 3 on my Garth Brooks countdown and I’m trying to name his top 5 songs of all time. This is very hard since Garth probably has 10 to 12 really good songs, but I think I have a good canidate for what the number 3 best song of all time is from Garth Brooks.
3rd Best Song by Garth Brooks
Do you agree that’s the 3rd best song ever by Garth Brooks? Is this song in the top 5 or top 10 of all time by Garth Brooks?
I can remember when this song came out and everybody was a Rodeo Cowboy then. Garth shed some light on the rodeo industry and this was a great song for all the guys that do the rodeo. It took me awhile to learn the lyrics of this song and there are a few tricky ones in there, but finally my cousin at high school gave me the written lyrics to this song that she had written her self. So I finally knew everything that Garth Brooks was saying about the rodeo. Even the part when he’s talking about the white in their knuckles and he’ll win the next go around.
Rodeo by Garth Brooks is a great song and it has the right tempo to get any good ol’ party started on a Friday or Saturday Night. I think Garth had a few more songs that he sangs that can get a party started off on the right foot. You will have to stick around and see if one of those songs or something else; makes the final two spots I have left in my Garth Broooks countdown of the 5 best songs ever!
