The Right Niche for Your Blog

Every blog must have a direction or purpose to be successful online. You need to create a good niche for your blog if you haven’t done so already. Try to stay in that niche and add as much new content as possible each and every day. This will be what the search engines will like best and you can really get a good ranking blog, if you will find your niche and add fresh content daily that relates to it.

A good way to start finding a niche is by doing something you like. Just don’t create a niche trying to attract higher blog rankings. You want be able to post as much or just have any passion for a niche like that. Find something you are passionate about and it will make blogging each day much easier. You can blog about animals, your work, goals, money, travel destinations or anything else that you might have a strong passion for. I like sports so a lot of my blog posts will be directed toward sports. I also like movies, music and just the whole entertainment sector. So anything to do with media or television and I have something good to blog about. See if you can find a good niche for your blog and start focusing more on one topic and see if that helps you achieve better numbers in the search engine rankings.

The Comforts of Winning the Lottery

Life would be so much easier if we all could win the lottery. I’m sure you thought about all of the things you would do with your money if you ever were lucky enough to win the lottery. All the cars, boats and the nice mansion with a lake you would spend your money on first. I’m sure most people would do a lot of traveling after they won the lottery. You could go to all sorts of places in the world and there would be no limits to where you could travel to. You could just take a jet charter to Las Vegas or go to some exotic island location to relax for a few days. Your imagination could just go on and on about all the things you would do and places you would see if you won millions in the lottery. I think another luxury for me would just be eating good food. I could go to the best restaurants in town or when I took my trips around the world and not have to worry about the cost of the food items. There is no doubt I would live like a king for the first year or two.

Now I would want to keep a comfortable life style and the main way to do that is by keeping enough money to live on without ever having to get a real job. I think I would still play around with all of the online business interests I have now, but the worries of having to ever work a real job again would be gone. To maintain a workless life, you would have to invest your money very wisely and even be a little thrifty at times. These are all just minor inconveniences when you think about a life of never having to work again. Oh how nice indeed it would be to win the lottery. I’m still waiting for my lucky numbers to drop and if that day ever comes, I might just drop with them! Please be sure to let me know what would be some of the first things you would buy with your lottery winnings. I know another big comfort of winning the lottery and that would be having the ability to pay off all of our debts!

Advertisers Searching for Customers

The advertisers are always looking for a new way to promote something or trying to find a new market for their product or service. One of the things that has really been hot over the last couple of years is advertising in blogs. This is a great way for advertisers to get extra links from blogs and get them pointing toward their websites, so they can achieve higher rankings in the search engines. People that use search engines are looking for something specific and being listed high on related search terms is a good way to get a target audience. The advertisers have been taking advantage of this for a few years now and they know the value of blog ads for helping them promote things online.

If your an advertiser looking for more exposure on the World Wide Web or want to get in on all of the blog craze, be sure to check out PayPerPost and SocialSpark. These are both under the parent company of IZEA; which help advertisers connect with the thousands and thousands of bloggers that exist on the internet today. They offer a wide variety of social media marketing services to advertisers and they do bring in great results! They also offer blog posts, blog sponsorships and product sampling to their advertisers. As an advertiser you don’t have to go out searching for all these bloggers on your on. A blogging company like IZEA makes it easy to submit links and instructions to them and they will pass it on to their bloggers that have been prescreened and preapproved for their system. There is not another blogging company online today that has provided so many great results to all of the advertisers they help daily. While advertising in blogs is still relatively new, the folks from IZEA are leading the way in this ever growing industry. Don’t miss out on this part of the advertising world that exists online today and get bloggers working for you!

Vegas Is Where the Action Is

I don’t think there is any place as exciting as Las Vegas, Nevada. I have never been there, but hopefully I will have the chance to go someday. The city is filled with lights that never get turned off and that is what I like best about Las Vegas. A place that you can go to at 2 or 3 o’clock in the morning and it’s just as alive with all the people trying to win money from the casinos. Vegas has taken in a lot more money than it has paid out, but the hopes that you might could be one of the few to leave Vegas on the plus side is what attracts millions to the dry air in Nevada each year. I can’t wait until the day I find my self planning one of those Las Vegas vacations. I will be so excited when that day comes and I’m sure I probably won’t be able to sleep the night before I leave for Las Vegas. If it’s action you’re looking for, then there is really only 1 place in the whole wide world to cure that craving and I think most would agree that Las Vegas is where the action is!

Happy Birthday Lisa!

Happy Birthday to Lisa!

birthday_graphics_05.gif

A good online friend of mine that I have known for more than 5 years now; is celebrating a birthday today! She is one of my most special friends in the whole wide world and I would certainly be lost without her. We met more than 5 years ago on April 1st, 2003 while playing in a cribbage league together. We both enjoyed playing crib (the card game); so it didn’t take us too long to hit things off. Lisa was just learning  to play crib or cribbage at the time and I taught her a few things in crib and Lisa taught me how to laugh, smile and just enjoy life in general.

I can’t believe more than 5 years has passed and it seems just like yesterday we was playing crib against each other in a league called Teammates and our crib games were played at Pogo in a room called Violet Eyes. I was on the Loonie Tunes Team and Lisa played for the Mistys. So even though we played on different crib teams, we kept up with each other everyday on MSN Instant Messenger. Even today we still talk almost daily on MSN Instant Messenger.

Even though me and Lisa share a lot of the same interests, we also have a lot of different opinions on other things and for more than 5 years now, we just can’t quite seem to get the other one on the same page. For instance, I know the Atlanta Braves is the best baseball team out there, but my friend from New York believes the boys in pinstripes are the best and she’s a big time New York Yankees fan. She even has an aunt that is real good friends with Bernie Williams (ex New York Yankee) mother or grandmother. So Lisa’s love for the Yankees and mine for the Braves has kept baseball an interesting topic over the last 5 years. We just need a Yankees and Braves World Series to prove who has the better baseball team and maybe that will happen this year.

Lisa is Italian and is a great cook! She sends me the stuff to make lasagna and it’s by far the best I have ever tasted. She puts a few things in a little container that has to marinate for a short time and by the time it arrives to my home in Georgia, it has one of the best smells you could imagine. Lisa’s Lasagna is well worth the 8 hours you have to spend slaving over the stove to prepare it properly.

Movies has been another very common thing we have shared over the years and I have watched about 500 more movies over the last few years because of Lisa, that normally I probably wouldn’t have seen. So since I like to play trivia from time to time, it’s really come in handy watching all of these movies I have now seen.

Today is June 5th and it is my very special friend from New York’s Birthday, so I would just like to take the time to tell her thanks for all the times and memories we have shared over the last 5 years and I look just as forward to the next 5 years and see what our friendship has in store for us. One thing I can say about Lisa, is life is never predictable when you’re around Lisa and just when you thought you have saw or heard it all, she comes up with a whole new way to yank my chain or make me laugh.

Happy Birthday Lisa!

Here’s a little song I found that touches my heart. I know your not into country music as much as me, but I like the message in this song and I think it fits a lot of the ways I feel about you!

More Than A Memory

HAVE A GREAT DAY AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!

A Vacation Cruise For Me

I have really put in some long hours on the computer lately. I really could use a nice vacation and it would be good if I could take a week off to have a vacation. I think just hoping on some large ship and sailing away would be the perfect vacation for me right now. I need something that would relieve all the stress and money problems I am facing. One of those large boats that take passengers on cruises would be the perfect gift for me. I would be up for an Alaskan cruise or even one of the Mediterranean cruises would be great, just to take and leave all of my problems behind.

I have never taken a cruise before, so this would be a first for me. I do love the water and going to the ocean is always a great place to have a vacation. I have managed to go deep sea fishing before in the ocean, but I don’t think that would be the same as a cruise. Our fishing boat was very small compared to the big ships you can take cruises on. It’s like a little city on some of these boats and I bet you wouldn’t even know that you were on the water. It really does sound nice thinking about a cruise vacation right now, but I’m not sure if I will be able to go on one this year. I do plan to take a cruise sometime in my life, so this will be something I do someday. I might just have to get on one that will take me to Hawaii and maybe I can find a small island down there and claim it for my self.

Prescriptions Filled Online

It seems more and more people are not going to the drug stores these days and prefer to get their medicines with online prescriptions. It is easier and more convenient when you can get your prescriptions filled online and don’t have to drive to the drug store, wait in any lines or have to wait on the pharmacist to get your medicine ready for you. We all need more time in our lives and getting your medicine from online drug stores like eDrugStore.md is just one of the ways to save more time. Also there is a great section “Ask a Physician” on eDrugStore.md and you can get answers from real doctors on any medical questions or concerns you might have; so more than just one benefit to having an online pharmacy that you can do from your computer. You might just learn that shopping for your prescriptions online can save you more money on brand name drugs, than if you actually went to your local pharmacy to have them filled. So don’t think you have to pay more to get prescriptions filled over the internet. So give it a try the next time you need a prescription filled and see if you can save time and perhaps money too!

Baked Chicken or Fresh Fish?

I’m sure for those that are watching their waist lines; they probably don’t eat a lot of fried meats. I was wondering if the majority of people on diets would prefer fresh fish or seafood as their daily meat or perhaps they like would like baked or boiled chicken better. If you’re on a diet, you do have to watch what you eat and if you fail this part of your diet, even the best diet pills in the world won’t help you. So be sure to focus on your diet and you do want to include a meat each day.

I think a sandwich, hoagie, sub or some type of deli sandwich is a good way to get a small portion of meat daily. Meat is a good source of protein and just adding a little ham, turkey or roast beef on a sandwich is a good way to get your daily meat. I’m sure chicken is more convenient to fix than a nice piece of fish that’s been grilled to perfection. So I understand more people on diets eat chicken compared to fish, but if you had your choice of which one to eat, based on taste and nutritional value, would you prefer that catfish off the grill or a big juicy chicken breast that’s been cooked on the grill. I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to find chicken recipes or fish recipes online, so you should have plenty of choices on how to prepare each one. Just let me know if you like chicken or fish better!

Daytona, Florida in June!

I guess it looks like I will be making a trip down south this summer. My family and my sister’s family are planning on going to Florida for a week. We will be staying in the Daytona area and close to the Daytona Speedway and it’s also near the greyhound track and that’s one of my favorite things to do in Florida. We are just staying at an average hotel and nothing really nice like in one of those condo hotel. We do have two separate rooms for each family and they will be 9 of us all together, so a pretty big group of us going to Florida this summer. I haven’t taken a vacation in a few years now, so this is overdue for me and I look forward to lying out in the sun, playing in the water and taking those walks on the beach at night. So there is still work to be done now and for the next 6 weeks or so and then I can really start getting prepared for Daytona in June!

Referral Contests to Help Memberbase

I see a lot of programs using referral contests to help grow their memberships. I think this is a great idea and helps to make more people active in all the various programs that are out there. I just seen a referral contest that will begin on May 1st and a lot of nice prizes are going to be given away. I will be sure to update you with more details later if you would like to get in on a good referral contest.

For the program it self, it does make more members active. It also brings in new members and hopefully they will bring in new members and a program can really benefit from a referral contest. Have you ever competed in a referral contest? Perhaps you won a prize in a referral contest already. If you have won something in a referral contest, please be sure to share your stories. How many referrals did you get and how long did the contest run for?

Cats Turning on the Lights at Night

At my house we often leave the carport light on all night. The bulb doesn’t stay illuminated all night, because we have motion sensor lights on our carport. So if someone drives up the driveway at night, the motion will cause the lights to come on and they can see to get out of their cars. It’s really great and saves electricity, but if the weather is windy outside it can cause small limbs or leaves to set the lights off frequently. Once the lights are triggered they will usually stay on for 4 or 5 minutes.

Now one thing that always gets me is when the cats set it off. We don’t own any cats but have several neighborhood cats that like to frequent our yard at night. So the cats will go by our carport and cause the lights to come on. It always startles me when I get up in the middle of the night and see it dark out there and suddenly the motion detector picks up one of those cats and causes the lights to come on. I guess as much as it startles me, would be the same way it would work for a burglar too. So having motion lights outside isn’t a bad way to set up a security system for your home too!

Boston this Weekend!

My Atlanta Hawks will be going to Boston this weekend to start their playoff series with the Boston Celtics. I will also be making this trip with them and supporting my local NBA basketball team. I believe this will be the greatest spring vacation I have ever had! The folks around here are really excited to see the Atlanta Hawks in the playoffs this year. It has been a very, very long time since the Hawks have made the playoffs, so this is exciting for us in the Atlanta area. If there is anyone that could give me tips on Things to do in Boston, I would appreciate it!

I have found one place that I think can help me and it’s a company called Trusted Tours and Attractions. They offer discounts on some of the bigger cities in the U.S. and lucky for me that Boston is one of them. The discounts you get are on sightseeing tours and a city that is as rich as Boston, Massachusetts in history; I will definitely want to see all the great things the city has to offer. So this isn’t just a spring time vacation to support the Atlanta Hawks, but a chance to visit the Boston area and take in some cultural.

I know the Hawks are huge underdogs for this playoff series and it’s rare to see a 8th seed team in the NBA playoffs beat a 1 seed, but I think the Hawks have a chance to beat the Boston Celtics. We have more athletes than they do and if we can get in a running game with them, we can certainly tire them out. It’s just great to have our own team in the playoffs this year that we can root for.

So please send me all your tips and suggestions for things to do in the Boston area and I will also check with Trusted Tours and Attractions and see exactly what they have to offer. You can save money too in cities you might be visiting and all you need to do is sign up for the newsletter. Now would be a good time to do so, because they are offering a handheld GPS system and all you need to do is sign up for the newsletter by Monday April 30th, 2008!

Submit Web Articles

Do you have an article or a blog post you would like more people to see? You can submit your web articles to different places online and have more people getting a chance to read your thoughts, opinions, suggestions or ideas on a certain topic. This is a great way for the bloggers out there to get more exposure for their writing skills. Submitting your articles to a place like Web-Articles.info is a good place to start. You don’t have to pay anything for this service and it’s completely FREE! This is a great way of spreading your articles to a wider audience and getting the word out about your thoughts on a particular subject matter. I think bloggers will find this service very useful and creates a better blogging athmosphere for all that’s involved. So take time out and submit your articles for free and I look forward to reading them later on!

Georgia .vs. Arkansas

The bulldogs from Athens, Georgia is getting ready to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks for the winner of the SEC basketball conference. This should be a good game and I can’t wait for the tip off that is about 30 minutes away. Even the storms in Atlanta can’t stop this match up today from happening. The skies are crystal clear and very blue over the Atlanta city skyline.

It will be important for Georgia to continue what they have been doing and that’s the tough and scrappy defense that has got them here. They get into foul trouble playing this way, but it’s prove to be effective to this point. Hopefully our players from Georgia will make it to halftime with 2 fouls or less for our top 7 or 8 players on the team. The whole team has been working the magic in this SEC tourney run and I hope that continues today in the Championship Game.

It was tough on our boys to have played back to back games and now have to turn around play a 3rd game in 2 days. They are young, strong and determined and as far as I am concerned, they are already champions in my book. Let’s hope the basketball gods are kind to them one more time and let them get out of the SEC with a championship that they deserve so much. Go Dawgs!!!

Twin Nephews Growing Up

My twin nephews turned 3 in December and I believe they have learned a lot during those 3 years. They can sing songs, say the alphabet, know some of the state capitals and they know what they like to watch on television. They are both much smarter than I was when I was 3 years old. They don’t even like their kiddie toys anymore and want the stuff they know they are not suppose to have. I guess even as adults we keep that little trait going; wanting things we can’t have. I think they will make an easy transition to when school starts for them, since they have learned to play with each other and will have each other at school. I know they won’t be this size forever, so I try to enjoy them now and I just wonder how much of this they will remember when they get older.

Fantasy Baseball Tips

It’s that time of the year and some have already started drafting their fantasy baseball teams. I love to play fantasy baseball and I have managed to win a few leagues I have been in over the years. When I started playing fantasy sports in the 80’s, we didn’t have the luxuries of the internet to get all the fantasy tips available now or have the ability to follow our players with real time stats, like you can do now. It’s changed a lot over the last 20 years, but fantasy sports are still fun to play.

Now getting your baseball team ready to compete in your fantasy league is easy to do with fantasy baseball software. This software can allow you to see player rankings based on Predictive Modeling by PhD scientists, draft data tool assistance for draft day, full season roster management with updated mid-season projections, and all those injury and stats reports for the latest news in fantasy baseball. Software like this can help any fantasy baseball owner to win their league this year!

Some people actually make money from wining their fantasy baseball leagues. If this sounds like you and you would like to try and win money from the various fantasy baseball leagues that pay cash prizes, you will really want to get the software from Fantasy Sports Prophet. If you decide you want to try their fantasy baseball software out; please be sure to use promo code: BMC200 and this will save you $10! Now you won’t only win your league each year, but you will dominate! Good luck to all the fantasy baseball owners out there and now it’s time to PLAY BALL!

Mustang Sally

Do you remember Sally riding her mustang? She was the one needing to slow her mustang down, but all Sally wanted to do was ride. I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard that song being played at a club, bar or someone trying to sing it for karaoke night. It’s one of those songs that as soon as the lyrics start up, everybody around starts singing along. You can’t blame ol Sally; I think the Ford Mustang is one of the best cars that have ever been made. Ford has a lot of good trucks they have put out over the years, but not really a lot of good car models. The Ford Mustang is what gives them the ability to sell some of the other cars they make. It doesn’t take a genius to know that, even Sally knew to get a Ford Mustang so she could right it all over town.

I saw a great Mustang blog that has a lot of information to all the Mustang lovers out there. You can check out some really nice looking gals over there too and if you haven’t got a 2008 calendar yet; you might want to get their 2008 calendar. You might not see a lot of cars on it, but it should help you to remember some of the months better!

I noticed they have an advertisement on their Mustang blog for a silver Mustang event that will be happening in May. This will be the first annual event for this and it’s being referred to as the”Silver in the Hills Cruise”. This will take place in Stone Mountain, Georgia; which is about an hour away from my house in Canton, Georgia. I have been to Stone Mountain many times and if you’re coming to Georgia, you want to make sure you see Stone Mountain and eat at the Varsity too! There is a lot to do in Stone Mountain and you can spend the whole day there. The warmer months is fun because you can check out the laser show at Stone Mountain at night and this Mustang event that will be held in May; will be a nice treat for them if they stick around for the laser show. I might just have to make my way down there for this 2 day event and see all the awesome silver Mustangs that will be rolling in to the park at Stone Mountain. I might see Sally show up and get to see her Mustang too!
