It was a great basketball game last night between the Jayhawks from Kansas and the Memphis Tigers. While there were many stars and future stars on the hardwood last night, was there any star brighter than Mario Chalmers? College basketball fans from coast to coast got treated with a good championship game to see who was the best this year in college basketball. Even after all the games had been played in the NCAA Tourney, it would still take an overtime period to see who the champions was. It got pretty late for us on the east coast to see who would eventually be the NCAA tournament champions for 2008.

Now the Memphis Tigers played a great game and had a great shot to win at the end. It took one unlikely star to hit a big shot at the end of regulation to send this game into overtime. His name is Mario Chalmers and he was wearing the blue last night for the Kansas Jayhawks. His incredible shot at the end of regulation would prove to be the difference and there were many people waking up in Kansas this morning with a new hero. Super Mario just didn’t make the biggest shot in the whole NCAA tournament this year, but he played great in all of Kansas’s games. I think Mario will have a bright future in the NBA and I would love for my favorite NBA team to get Mario Chalmers on our side. Mario Chalmers is the kind of basketball player you do want on your side and he gives 100 percent effort while he is out there on the court. The team from Kansas is the National Champions this year and there is a lot of people that owe Mario Chalmers the credit for them defeating a very talented Memphis Tigers team. Both teams played great and it was one of the best championship basketball games, I have seen in a long time. Congratulations to Kansas and all their fans and now I think it’s time for Mario to get ready for the NBA. He’s NBA material and Mario Chalmers will be a driving force at the next level. I doubt Mario Chalmers has seen his last championship in basketball and I really look forward to seeing Super Mario in the NBA!
