Jake Long Number 1 Pick in NFL Draft
A place that all football players want to find their self and that’s the top overall pick in the draft. This year it will be Jake Long and he’s going to be a Miami Dolphin. He did very well for Michigan and should be a good fit down in South Florida. Jake Long has already signed a contract to play for the Dolphins, so he’s locked up and will be ready for training camp. Not all NFL fans will be as lucky as the Dophins fans as some of these players will hold out and not be available for the first day of training camp. Every year someone makes a name for their self by holding out and usually these players turn out to be pretty good football players. Jake Long will be remember as the top pick in the 2008 NFL draft for a long time and he will be remembered for all the right reasons.
It appears that Chris Long might go number 2 overall. He’s the son of Howie Long and it makes you wonder just how many children does Howie Long really have? It does seem to be a strange coincidence that two players with the same last name would go first and second in the draft and a ex-NFL player as popular as Howie Long is the father of one of them. I think Jake might not know who his real father is and Howie Long is the father of both of these special athletes. Jake Long and Chris Long both will have “long” NFL careers and any NFL fan should be happy to see either one of these half brothers on their team. Just remember where you read it first, when you learn through DNA testing that Howie Long is the father of Jake Long too!
