Heavy Weight Boxing Needs a Spark
Heavy weight boxing has disappeared from the media and most boxing fans attention, because there aren’t any good boxers out there. The way boxing is set up is poor anyways, but the boxing commission isn’t doing their job promoting the sport or their fighters anymore. We don’t know of any big names that use to make up the boxing ranks and the days of Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson are long gone.
Boxing needs a few big names in the sport right now and professional heavy weight boxing has took a back seat to celebrity boxing. I enjoy the celebrity boxing, but would like to see a heavyweight boxing match get hyped up in the near future. I don’t know of any of the current new starts on the scene and I’m sure most of the public is like this. If we only had 2 boxers with a name in the heavyweight ranks right now, we could build up anticipation of a clash in the upcoming months. I don’t think boxing cares about this right now and the sport that already had it shares of struggles in the past, are just falling further back to the wrestling events and lower rank boxing classes of the world.
