Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics Tied at 2 Games a Piece

posted in Blogging |

It seems many are surprised by the Atlanta Hawks and how they have managed to win two games in the series with Boston in the playoffs. The Atlanta Hawks had no national tv games this year and most still don’t know much about the Atlanta Hawks. I even heard one announcer say that the Boston Celtics had a lot deeper bench that the Atlanta Hawks. That is completely not true and just because you don’t see the Atlanta Hawks bench not playing, doesn’t mean our guys can’t play. The best shooter on the team hasn’t had a chance to play yet and Jeremy Richardson could really give the Hawks a boost, if they would just play him. Solomon Jones showed his value in game 4 of the series as he made some great blocks in that game. Josh Childress should be starting for us and next to Manu in San Antonio; Josh Childress is the best 6th man in the league. Salim Stoudamire has the 2nd sweetest stroke on the roster and Acie Law is solid for a rookie. After all of these guys coming off the Hawks bench, you still have ZaZa Pachulia who was effective enough to get Kevin Garnett upset and he had no fears in staring down the Big Ticket.

Who knows if the Atlanta Hawks will win another playoff game in this series? Atlanta has one of the most talented teams in the NBA, they have lacked a coach and for some reason they still think Joe Johnson is a star in this league. He gives up points on defense and has too many silly turnovers and bad shot selections to be a star in the NBA. Joe Johnson gets a chance every game to be a star and only comes through 1 out of every 4 or 5 times. In the case of the playoff series with the Boston Celtics, Joe Johnson is 1 for 4. Josh Smith has put the team on his back all year and he is the only reason the Hawks got to the playoffs and have a couple of wins under their belt in the post season.

You can obviously see the Boston Celtics will never be champions with this group of guys. Ray Allen is a superstar and can carry a team on his back too. Ray Allen is a great NBA athlete and role model for the league and does everything right. Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are nothing but thugs and you can’t win a championship in the NBA when your too busy bragging and making gestures in the game. Those first two games in Boston, Kevin Garnett was silly bumping his chest and yelling out loud like he was the big bad man. He’s a 7 footer with a soft touch and very athletic. He doesn’t have the heart to be a winner and that thug personality of his will lead Boston to an early playoff exit. Paul Pierce is no better and these two belong on a team together. I’m sure Ray Allen is regretting the move to Boston and I won’t be surprised to see Ray Allen win a NBA championship one day. There is a reason Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce has never won an NBA Title and they have showed that in the last 4 games.

If Atlanta wins at Boston in the 5th game of the series, everyone will get to see Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce for them self. They will come to Atlanta for the 6th game of the series and will just pout. Just keep your eye on Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce and look at all the cheap shots they deliver to Hawks players. Atlanta was just happy to make the playoffs and they would have let Boston win this series without a fight. Instead Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett decided they would beat a dead horse and brag about their defeats in game 1 and 2. BIG MISTAKE! You can blame these two directly for giving the Atlanta Hawks life in the 2008 NBA playoffs and nothing will come easy for Boston for the rest of this series. The Hawks won’t lie down no more! They aren’t coach well, but they have ballers that can ball and the Boston Celtics to not!
