Effective Exercise Steps

Getting off your butt is the first thing anyone should do that wants to lose more weight. Reading a blog post online right now isn’t neccessarily sheding away the pounds for ya right now. Exercise and eating low fat meals is a powerful combination for losing weight and without these two ingredients in your diet, the best diet pills in the world won’t help you any. I do think a diet pill can help people lose weight, but a sensible diet every day and going outside to move around can be tremendous factors in helping people to lose weight.

Losing weight is a big industry these days and you won’t find a shortage of claims in products that say they will help you lose more weight. Always do research for the best diet pills and tips on dieting, so you can continue to slim down. It’s ok to fall off the wagon and stray from your diet. Just because you ate a big meal or didn’t exercise today, isn’t a reason to stop dieting. A break can be good and its perfectly fine to reward your self from time to time. The key is to never give up and when you do have a bad day, just make sure you correct it tomorrow and never have back to back bad days. Patience is needed for those that want to lose weight and if you do a little something everyday to lose weight, you will see the results soon. You didn’t get fat overnight, so don’t expect to have the perfect body overnight either!

Atlanta Hawks on Losing Streak

The Atlanta Hawks came out of the gates strong and won their first 5 games of the season. After suffering a 1 point loss to the Boston Celtics, the Hawks lost two more times to the New Jersey Nets. For the fans and people that really watched the Hawks win their first 5 games, should have known that this was coming. The team continues to add depth and more talent each year, but the same philosphy continues to thrive. Coach Mike Woodson is bound and determined to make Joe Johnson a star in the NBA and it’s just not working out. Joe Johnson has been giving the keys to this team and he can’t lead them past most of the teams in the NBA. The Hawks should really focus on other guys and start using a running style tempo to get the advantage over teams. They don’t play like an athletic team and this has hurt them severely. The Hawks need a new coach and they should have got one last year, when Woodson was going to get fired by Billy Knight. The Hawks need a new coach or the old coach to realize that Joe Johnson needs to be benched for poor play. Joe Johnson does not get out there and hustle or get his shirt untucked and this is why the Hawks have no direction at the moment. It’s time for a change in Atlanta and hopefully Mike Woodson is on his way out in Atlanta.

Car Costs Today

I know our cars are really important to us and it’s one of the best inventions ever, if not the best. We wouldn’t have the ability to travel all the miles we do in a day’s time and people back in the olden days never got to travel like we do now. I just wish it was more affordable to keep our cars up. Just getting gas these days is a lot of money out of our wallets and having to keep up the mantenance and repairs can get costly too. We need those oil changes and new breaks to keep our cars running, so we can’t really cut costs there. If the car dealers would just sell them cheaper that would help or if our insurance companies were cheaper. Our car insurance is something that we love when we do wreck or breakdown, but it sure does take a lot of money each year to keep it. It’s a law in my state to have insurance on your car, so we don’t have a choice here. We have to pay the insurance rates, so we certainly want to find the places with the best deals. I’m not really sure where we can save money when it comes to our cars, because most of the costs are something you need. I guess fewer trips to the car wash or washing it at home is one way to save car costs. The best thing to do is drive less and it’s the best way car owners can lower the cost they pay each year for their automobiles. Please be sure to leave any tips or suggestions, if you know of a way to save money with our cars and trucks, without risking our safety, the engine, or being unlawful.

Atlanta Hawks Start Season

The Atlanta Hawks are close to the tip-off of the new NBA season. They made the playoffs last year and are looking to build on that success this year. They have all the key players returning with the exception of Josh Childress who went to play ball in Europe. The Atlanta Hawks are led by Josh Smith and he is the work horse that has got this team to where they are at now. Mike Bibby and Joe Johnson make up a solid backcourt for the Hawks, but the young guys like Al Horford and Marvin Williams will need to step it up a notch for the team to win a lot of games this year.

The additions of Maurice Evans and Flip Murray are going to bring instant help for this young team and they are going to give the Hawks more firepower this year. The team needed more 3 point shooters and players that can create their own shot and both of these players offer this. Also look for Acie Law and ZaZa Pachulia to help give this team solid minutes on a nightly basis. The Hawks have all the pieces in place to make a serious run in the playoffs this year. I see this team winning 53 games this year and making the playoffs. The Hawks are a much better team that their 37 wins last year would suggest. They must keep people healthy and if Josh Smith goes down for any length of time, this team from the South might be in jeopardy. I’m not sure why Mike Woodson was left on to ride the ship, but he needs to learn the team has to run for them to win. They can run any team off the court this year, if Coach Woodson will just allow them to. You don’t have to stop baskets from being scored and it’s just as easy to take the ball out of the net and run down the floor that way too. Most teams will have trouble matching up with the Hawks on a nightly basis and their depth needs to be shown and it can by having a up tempo style of game.

The Atlanta Hawks will win 53 games this year and fans in Atlanta do have 1 sports team this year in the professional ranks they can get excited about. Look out Atlanta and a new day is dawning in the state of Georgia.

World Series Debate

The World Series got postponed and the next pitch is scheduled for Wednesday evening. They have 3 1/2 innings to play in game 5 and the score is tied 2 to 2. The Philadelphia Phillies have the advantage and lead the series 3 to 1. So if they can manage to plate another run and hold the Tampa Bay Devil Rays scoreless over those 3 innings; will win their 2nd World Series in team history. The D-Rays wasn’t even supposed to be there and I’m sure they are happy just being in the World Series. Tampa has beaten the odds all year long and I wouldn’t count them out now. I think Tampa is still in control of things and they have the talent to overcome the deficit they find their self in now.

This postponed World Series game reminds us too much of the All Star Game that got called after they ran out of pitchers to use in the mid-season classic and the score was still tied. I think Bud Selig and baseball has a lot of things to work out and we almost saw a repeat in this year’s All Star Game. Baseball needs to take measures now to correct these things and they are going to have a hard time attracting fans to the games next year from this World Series decision and the struggling economy we find ourselves in now.

Fantasy Football Help

People that love fantasy sports like me are always trying to get a leg up on the competition. All fantasy sports have got more competitive these days and football is no exception. I know a lot of people that think fantasy football is better than all of the other fantasy sports you can play. We use to have to play by mail and phone before the internet came along. Since the internet has arrived it’s increased the participation of fantasy owners across the board. Fantasy sports are very popular now and who wouldn’t like to be the Owner, GM, and Coach of a team that has all your favorite pro stars on it.

You have to follow your team and your pro league closely to do well. There are some really great fantasy owners out there and staying ahead of them is a never-ending battle. Fantasy football owners now have a tool that will help them keep up with the latest fantasy news, player stats, and live scoring that goes on in your league. WaiverWire Beta is here to help all fantasy football owners win their league. They offer a lot of good information on their website and it will help you stay ahead of the competition. No fantasy football owner should be without this service and you need an outside source of information and stats to help keep your team winning.

I know some of my friends would like to use their services, but I’m not giving away my tips and strategies, because I have to play against them. I don’t want to create my own Frankenstein or get beat with my own medicine. I love the stats that update live on game days and you can watch your individual player’s stats move before your eyes. If there is something I would improve about Waiver Wire Beta, it would be to keep the live scoring updated as fast as possible. I would like to see my players stats go up on their site, before the next snap takes place. I know many fantasy football owners get help from outside sources, but I don’t think none of them will have help like this. If you want to be competitive and win your next fantasy football league; you just have to know where to go and now you do. Finally a place that all fantasy football owners can rely on for fantasy football news, fantasy football stats, and scoring that gets updated live on Sundays.

Atlanta Hawks Beat Pistons to End Preseason

Those high flying Hawks are looking good from Hotlanta. They are going to be a good team this year in the NBA. The Atlanta Hawks is going to make a lot of noise and they should do much better this year than their first round playoff exit last year. The Detroit Pistons got a taste of that last night as they were blown out in the first half of that game. The Pistons did a good job to come back and take a double digit lead in the 3rd quarter, but the Hawks showed their collection of talent and beat the Pistons on their own home floor.

The real games will begin next Wednesday for the Atlanta Hawks and they will match up against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. This should be a fun game to watch and see how the Hawks match up with Howard this year. The additions of Maurice Evans and Flip Murray are going to be huge for the Hawks this year. Josh Childress will be missed and he was the heart and soul of the team last year. The two Josh’s was the core of the Hawk’s team and now 1/2 of that tandem is gone. The Hawks have a lot of weapons and hopefully we get to see them all and not Joe Johnson playing 40 minutes a game. Joe Johnson turns the ball over too much and the offense gets stagnent when he is out there. If Coach Woodson limits Joe Johnson’s minutes, we will get to see this team running up and down the court and just beating teams off the court.

Top 10 College Football Rankings

We now have a clear picture of the best 10 teams in college football this season. They are still some questions to exact rankings, but no one can dispute who the best 10 college football teams in 2008 are. The polls are horrible and they have USC as a top 10 team in the nation. That is ridiculous and no way does a team that got beat by a 2 loss team before they could even notch their 3rd win of the year deserve to be in the top 10. USC won’t even play another solid team all year long and the USC Trojans are done for this year. We need to get real in college football and get these rankings right. We only have controversy when we try to sneak teams in the top 10 that don’t belong there. So let’s get the real teams this year on the list and focus on the top 10. It’s really important that we eliminate the baggage and rid our college ranking system that tries to put the rich boosters of USC as one of the top 10 teams in college football. Everyone in the nation knows USC doesn’t belong and it’s really getting old to see this over rated team get beat every year and still have a shot to make a BCS Bowl Game at the end of the year.

The top 10 teams in college football this year as it stands now are:

1. Alabama

2. Florida

3. Texas

4. Georgia

5. Oklahoma

6. Penn State

7. Texas Tech

8. LSU

9. BYU

10. Utah

These are the top 10 teams in college football. Some of these teams will need help due to weak schedules but 2 of the teams listed above will be playing for a National Championship Game. If we can get the true rankings and votes to the deserving teams that belong in the top 10 right now. All of these teams have proven their worth to be listed in the top 10 and all other teams in the nation are just not as worthy. You can debate my order I have them in, but there is no debate that the 10 best teams in the nation are currently listed. Let’s keep the drama and politics out of our college football system and only vote for teams that really belong. New teams might appear in the top 10 later on down the line, but no team will be in the National Title Game this year that is not currently listed. Only these 1o teams have a chance to play in the big game and all other teams will have to start working now for next year. Good luck to all the teams listed above and the real college football fans of the world know you belong!

Losing Memory These Days

It seems the older we get the more things we forget. I think I have seen a decline in the things I use to remember. I have a lot of things on video or got recorded in the past and from my memory it doesn’t match up with the video. It’s bad to have recorded proof of your memory not being able to tell you the way something really happened. Maybe one day they will make memory cards for humans and we can use these to help us trace back what really happen in the past. I know there is some new technology that is allowing people to keep their most precious memories stored away for later in life. I’m not exactly sure how it works right now, but they compared it to a DVR. I think this technology would benefit so many people and you could store all of your good memories away and delete the bad ones. It should be interesting to see how they eventually develop this new technology and how we can benefit from it. So don’t feel bad if you don’t remember things as well as you once did, you’re not alone!

End of Time: December 21st 2012

Is the end of the world really near? Is a date in history already in place for the Earth and man to no longer exist? I don’t think anyone knows these answers, but if they did, we might still be left in the dark. I’m not sure world governments would want their citizens knowing the last day of the world and this would just create too much confusion and crimes in our street. So I’m sure if they do know that the end of time is coming, we wouldn’t be told.

The Mayan Calendar has a very long and rich history. It’s been amazing to see all of the different things that have came true over the years from it. How did these people know so many years ago, to make a calendar this long into the future and have it accurately predict so many things right? The calendar does have a stopping point and the Mayans saw no reason to extend their calendar past the date December 21, 2012. It seems unusual that they would stop on this date and does make one wonder why this particular date in the future.

The story gets stranger if you break down other religions and people living in other parts of the world so long ago. It seems many different people and cultures also used this date as a stopping point and it appears they have some knowledge of December 21st and what they think might happen on this date in the year 2012. Does the world stop on this day? Do we see a whole new world appear and life as we know it totally changes in some way? It does leave the mind to wonder what will happen in 2012 and if it will be globally felt or just felt in certain places on Earth.

There is a magnetizing of the poles that occur every 11 years and this has something to do with the Earth and the Sun and how the poles get magnetized differently in some way. It just so happens that this will happen again on December 21st in 2012 and how did they know all those centuries ago that this process took place? I believe some type of alignment will form in the stars or in our galaxy and our planet and sun will align on the day of December 21, 2012. This also begs the question, how did they know this back then?

As we get closer to this most famous date in our future, you can bet it will pick up in popularity. I just wonder how much steam this topic will gain and what preparations will people make before Dec. 21 gets here. I know I’m not the last blogger to blog about this topic and I’m sure I will be doing a lot more posts about a day that is a little over 4 years away and will come 4 days before Christmas. I just wonder if the numbers 4, 4 have something to do with this topic and our times certainly have been different this year.

Hunting in the Fall

It’s not deer season yet, but the trees are losing their leaves and it makes it a perfect time to squirrel hunt. You can see them much better after the big oaks and hickory nut trees lose their leaves. I have the best luck during the early morning hours or just before dark. They aren’t too active during the middle of the day, but right after the sunrise and just before the sunset you can find them jumping and running from tree to tree. I think a small shotgun is the best way to go, but you can challenge yourself and use a .22 caliber gun. Shooting squirrels with a 22 will help get you in practice for the deer, so it will seem easier when you break out the Nikon rifle scopes. I think all hunters are glad to see the cooler days finally getting here and we can start strolling out into the woods more and enjoy some fall hunting.

Week 5 for Real Ranks in College Football

The college football world got shook up this past weekend and many teams in the top 25 lost this past weekend. However, they didn’t rank the teams properly and once again I have to go back and correct their mistakes. I still can’t believe USC is ranked ahead of the Georgia Bulldogs and this continues to make no sense. Why have a two win team with 1 loss to a unranked team over a team with 4 wins and 1 loss to a team that was ranked 8th overall in the country? The system in college football has been broken since week 2 and they continue to give USC too much favoritism for a team that won’t be able to prove their self against any real competition this year. The Georgia Bulldogs have the toughest schedule in the country this year and now they are getting ranked lower than they should, because teams like USC have no games to help spring board them ahead of the pack. Other teams must prove their worth in college football every year; while USC gets a free ride.

Recruits need to leave USC out of the picture and they are the most over-hyped team in all of sports today. USC will face suspensions in the future due to their recruiting practices and the Reggie Bush situation is far from over in the college ranks. If you have USC on your list of schools to visit; then just cross them off and your better off choosing a school that will get to compete in the bowl games of college football.

Now that I have stated my points on the USC program and how they are the biggest thorn to the college football system right now; I will move on to my rankings. This is the real ranks of college football after the first 5 Saturdays of the season:

1. Oklahoma

2. Alabama

3. LSU

4. Texas

5. Missouri

6. Georgia

7. BYU

8. Texas Tech

9. Penn State

10. South Florida

11. Utah

12. Florida

13. Auburn

14. Kansas

15. Wisconsin

16. Vanderbilt

17. Virginia Tech

18. Oklahoma State

19. USC

20. Wake Forrest

21. Georgia Tech

22. Oregon

23. Boise State

24. Maryland

25. Michigan State

These Real Ranks serve a much more service to the current state of college football; than the AP or USA Today Polls do. It’s bad that college football continues to over rank teams and allow teams in weak divisions as high as they do on the list. Ohio State is not a top 25 team and they have been ranked in the top 25 all year and even spent 2 weeks in the top 5 of the country. Let’s put the teams in real order and we can do a much better job at the end of the year; pairing these teams up to play in competitive bowl games. The current polls would create many blowouts if we took the top 24 teams in their lists right now and put 1 and 2 together, 3 and 4 together, etc…

Let’s stand up and fix college football!

Georgia Drivers Urged to Fill Up Cars and Gas Cans

The fuel shortage continues in the South and now all Georgia residents better realize the seriousness of this problem. Gas is going to be a problem for the remainder of the 2008 year and the problems are a long ways from being fixed. This means keeping your cars filled up and if you can invest in a few gas cans this would be wise too. Be sure to create your own storage for precious fuel as the Colonial Pipeline and other areas of fuel coming into the State are not working at 100 percent capacity.

The recent pictures or words on the local media outlets in Atlanta are not aware of just how bad the fuel problems are for Georgia and other parts in the South. These gas shortage problems are not any better and they will only get worse as the year progresses. They hope for people to ration at the pumps, but this only leaves you without fuel if you follow their steps. Trick or treating will probably be canceled this year in the state of Georgia and we are 30 days away from that time of the year. So if Halloween hasn’t got here yet; then you know the problems are still in place. No fuel at the pumps will be the story that continues beyond Halloween and bad information is getting translated in the news programs on television and in our newspapers. The problems are not better today and they have got worse and this is going to be something we will have to deal with for a long time to come.

I know the news has told us all that things are getting better and we are now even seeing pictures of gas stations that have gas with no lines. This is just a move by the leaders of the State to try and prevent people from over-buying at the pumps. The fuel shortage is not going to be fixed in metro Atlanta until more oil gets into our region. The refineries aren’t as big of a problem as people think they are and the actual facts point to a shortage in fuel and not the refineries being down.

Now is the time to take steps to protect yourself and make sure your not the one that has no gas. It can be stressful looking for gas in metro Atlanta right now and you can relieve a lot of this stress if you stay full and have at least 2 five gallon cans of gas in supply at home. This is the best way to prevent you and your family from running out. We all have places to go and getting to work is at the top of that list. If you must drive to work and carpooling and public transportation is out of the question, you will want to build up your own fuel reserves at home and stock up on the gas when it is available. The fuel shortages in Atlanta may continue through the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, so the time to buy gas is now! Don’t get caught on empty and stock up on gas at the pumps when you find it in Atlanta or other parts in Georgia that might be experiencing fuel shortages right now.

Bears Crave Salmon Fat

I’m sure you have seen the pictures on television of a bear in Alaska that is next to a stream catching salmon as they swim upstream in large schools. A hungry bear will eat the whole salmon to begin with, but if the bear continues to catch them at will they will soon just eat the skin off of the salmon. This is great for the birds, foxes and other animals that get to eat the other parts of the salmon that the bears will leave behind. This is nature’s way of giving back to the other animals in Alaska. It’s good that the bears do this, because the salmon skin is much higher in fats than the meat portions of the fish. So the bear is getting a high concentration of fat from the skins of salmon and bears need this to help survive the long cold winters of Alaska; when they take a long nap and hibernate for the winter. I’m sure there is no FDA approved diet drug like alli available to these bears in Alaska and a drug like that reduces the fat absorption in the body and this isn’t what the bears need. They need all of the fat they can get and their taste buds actually crave the high fatty makeup of salmon skins and the bears will only catch the salmon to eat their skins. Bears will eat the whole salmon but once they are full, they will continue to catch them and only eat their skins. I’m sure the other animals in the area are grateful for this and they don’t have the fish catching skills to land their own dinner, so they enjoy the bear’s leftovers from their process of only eating the salmon skins.

Obama Doesn’t Care About the Economy

I’m not a person that considers myself a democrat or republican, but I was horrified at Barack Obama’s refusal of John McCain’s idea to delay the debate. Barack Obama is running for president of the United States and his campaign has been centered around a time to heal for Americans. We need a president that is in touch with what’s going on in America and apparently Barack Obama isn’t aware of the biggest story in America right now. John McCain wanted to postpone the debate, so that he could focus on helping Congress come up with a solution or bailout for the current economy crisis that is facing this country. Barack Obama refused to move the debate back and said it’s more important that Americans know what type of person we would be putting in office in about 40 days instead of the economical concerns that face this nation right now.

Mr. Obama should know that America might not be here in 40 days and our country is on the brink of a depression. His refusal to not grant the McCain Camp a delay in this debate shows just how selfish he is and I think America got a chance to see Barack Obama’s true colors. Barack Obama is NOT the man you want in office come November or any other time in the future. He doesn’t care about Americans or the current economical crisis in the United States and I would not elect this man into office. I was someone that was sitting on the fence for this presidential election and I could have voted for either candidate. I was waiting for someone to do something positive to earn my vote. Instead I have saw a big negative with one of the candidates and it’s a good thing this came out before the election. We as Americans don’t need a Barack Obama type as president, because he views the debate with McCain more important than our economy right now. Americans should be more focused on the economy than any presidential election and John McCain apparently agrees with this too. Barack Obama messed up big time with his latest comments and I am not trying to earn votes for one candidate because I am a republican or democrat. I don’t vote along any party lines and I don’t affiliate with any party. I am an American and I vote on the best candidate or person for the job and in the case for president, John McCain is that man. I will not vote for someone that views a presidential debate more important than the situation with Wall Street and our economy right now; Barack Obama does think this way and he believes the debate is more important. I hope other Americans take notice of this and realize that Barack Obama is not the man we want in the White House come November.

The Nascar Playoffs

The playoffs are in full swing in Nascar or at least their version of it. In no other sport do you have non playoff teams still competing with playoff teams, but only 12 drivers have a shot to win the big prize. So this is the playoff season for Nascar and who do you think has the best chance to win? The leader is currently Carl Edwards but only by 10 points over Greg Biffle and Jimmie Johnson. These 3 drivers have the best shot to win it all this year and 10 points is nothing on any given Sunday. Now the 4th spot is where we find Jeff Burton and he has 82 points to make up. It can be tough to make up that margin in one race and to jump 3 other drivers, but it’s still very early and Jeff Burton has a chance to control things from his end and make up the difference. The other drivers in the field are in the same boat, but the further you go down the standings the more help some of these other drivers will need from outside sources.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. lost a lot of ground and based on past experience, I don’t believe he has the driving skills to seriously win it all this year. Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart does have the driving skills and both of these drivers have the ability to make up some serious ground. I wouldn’t count Gordon or Stewart out yet, but they can afford to have any bad races down the stretch. They must continue to finish in the top 5 and 10 spots to set up a late season jump to 1st place. I think most will be picking Carl Edwards or Jimmie Johnson to win it all this year and I look for Tony Stewart or Jeff Gordon to be right at their heels when the last race in Florida gets here. It should be a fun race down the stretch and I think all Nascar fans are still tuning in to see how this one plays out.

The Fair Comes to Town

The local fair has come to town and it’s still exciting to see. It was a big thing when I was a kid and even as an adult you have to get excited about the fair. I might not even go to the fair, but just knowing that it’s here and this time of the year makes it exciting. We always get the fair during the month of September and we know that our long hot days will soon be replaced by the shorter and cooler days of fall. When the weather cools down it makes going outside and doing things more enjoyable. So the fair is a big sign of the changes that are on the horizon. I hope I get the chance to go at least one day and enjoy all the lights, laughter and foods that the fair provides. I know my twin nephews had a good time at the fair last year and they should enjoy it a lot more this year being a year older.

Car Repairs for Today’s Times

I know with the economy in bad shape like it is, many of us are finding ways to save money. In many cases our vehicles pay the price for this and we don’t get those oil changes and tune ups like we should be doing. We must keep our cars running right and all of us should not save money with our automobiles. Go ahead and take the hit now and get your cars and trucks all the things they need to help them run right. Could you imagine if you drove an expensive utility vehicle and having to pay today’s gas prices? What about someone that owns a Ferrari and needs to find some extra Ferrari parts to keep their car running? I know I would have trouble in either situation right now and I would like to own a smaller car for today’s times. Some people can afford these extra costs and it’s the reason they had the money to buy a utility vehicle or a Ferrari to begin with. I know my next vehicle will be gas friendly and that should be the priority of most people searching for a new or used car. Just remember to go ahead and bite the bullet with auto repairs and keep your vehicle in shape; so you can have dependable transportation and that will be one less thing to worry about!

Real Rank: 4th Week of College Football Rankings

The 4th week has just went by and we continue to see teams from the ACC and SEC dominate the college ranks. These two divisions are just a speed ahead of all the other conferences in the country. The PAC 10 continues to get beat up on and today’s latest victim was Oregon taking a beating from Boise State. The final score looks a lot closer than what that game really was and Boise State was in control the entire time. Arizona State didn’t fare much better against a team that had to travel across the country to play them and the Georgia Bulldogs proved once again they are the best team in the nation right now. It was a tough game for Georgia having to face the Sun Devils, the desert conditions and the PAC 10 Officials that gave Arizona State every call on the field. The PAC 10 officiating is horrible and the Ohio State Buckeye fans can attest to this when they had to play the overrated USC Trojans early in the year. The PAC 10 Officials don’t even try to cover it up and they will help out their teams as much as possible. Georgia wins by 40+ if the game would have been called fairly, but a win is a win and Georgia now has 4 wins on the season. No way does USC stay ranked above them now. You have a team with 4 wins being compared to a team with 2 wins and the 4 win team was the preseason favorite going into the season. So USC will lose spots this week in the polls and things won’t get much better for them; because they have to win every game by 40 points now with the PAC 10 going down hill like it has been.

Black Saturday in the PAC 10? What? Now that has to be about the funniest thing I have heard all year long. The real college football fans and experts know that the PAC 10 is a weak division and most of those teams were only ranked in the top 25 to give the USC team quality wins. It’s a system that is so unfair but it has now backfired against USC and they are now out of the National Title picture (unless they win all games by 40+) and they haven’t even added a mark to the loss column yet.

So now we have to count East Carolina and the Oregon Mighty Ducks out of the top 25 teams in the country and here is a look at the real rankings of college football after 4 weeks of play.

1. Georgia

2. Oklahoma

3. Florida

4. LSU

5. Missouri

6. Alabama

7. Texas

8. Missouri

9. Texas Tech

10. Wisconsin

11. Wake Forrest

12. BYU

13. USC

14. Penn State

15. South Florida

16. Kansas

17. Auburn

18. Clemson

19. Illinois

20. Florida State

21. Vanderbilt

22. Virginia Tech

23. Utah

24. Georgia Tech

25. Miami

That is a look at the real college football rankings in the country right now after we have seen these teams for 4 Saturdays now. I think the back to back shut-outs by BYU is very impressive and they might deserve to be a little higher up in the real rankings right now. Several good teams on the bubble of that 25th spot, but I don’t see how the Miami Hurricanes wouldn’t make a top 25 right now with all the young talent they have.

Week 5 in college football looks like a dandy and we will get to see more good games coming up next Saturday. There is about 8 or 9 teams that you could consider as one of the top 5 teams in the nation right now. The AP Poll and USA Today Poll really doesn’t reflect what’s being done on the football field and it should be interesting to see where a two win team that is currently listed as number 1 in the nation goes to; after teams like Georgia, BYU, Alabama and Missouri all have 4 wins. Rankings are suppose to be based on what we have seen and up-to-date with the way things look right this second. USC can’t be ranked number 1 in the country if you have quality teams playing quality games and winning on the road and these teams have twice as many wins. So this will be judgment week after week 4 and see how brave the voters are to knock USC off of their 2 win paper mountain that they are on. USC does not have quality wins! They did not beat the number 5 team in the nation and that team won by 18 against Troy at home today. A USC road win is impressive against Virginia (normally) but Virginia isn’t Virginia this year and they won 16 to 0 against Richmond, but got pounded by Connecticut 45 to 10. So USC has only 2 wins against 1 highly over ranked team and the other one got blew out by Connecticut. So let’s get those polls right this week and move USC out of the top spot on the rankings.
