Money in Big Trucks
by Chris Padgett on Mar.31, 2009, under Finance
I never have had a great paying job like some people have had at one time in their life. I always thought it would be fun to have one, so I would be making more money than I knew what to do with. It seems I’m barely making ends meet week to week and can never get ahead. If I had a nice paying job, I would be able to put money back for next month’s bills; instead of having to wait until next month’s paycheck to pay them.
I thought I messed up by not going to college (which I did), but they are other ways to make big money without having a college education. I have some friends that can drive the big trucks and construction vehicles and they make really good money. I think driving or operating machinery for a living is easy work and some of these jobs pay really well. If you can drive or learn to drive an 18 wheeler; then you have a lot of opportunity to make money driving cross country. I would like to travel from state to state in a big rig, but I haven’t ever learned to drive one. I get intimidated driving a van or one of the moving vehicles you can rent; that are slightly larger than a car. I might do better as a Manitex crane operator or some other construction vehicle that doesn’t need to be drove on public roads. I guess these operators drive their own cranes to the job sites and they are larger than normal size cars and trucks and I would need to do some driving on the public highways and roadways.
If you’re looking for a new career and would like to earn more money than what you make now; a construction driver is the way to go! These guys get paid really well for driving and operating cranes, bulldozers, big trucks, and other specialized equipment that is present in construction work. I need to learn how to drive one of these big trucks, so I can start making more money. I may just need to save up money and buy these big equipment trucks and run my own company and let my friends drive them. I think they would be willing to teach me how to drive one, but we need one to practice with and that isn’t too likely to happen. I know there are schools that help train people for these sorts of jobs and enrolling into one of these schools would be great for someone like me.

Amazing Dolphin Bubbles
by Chris Padgett on Mar.25, 2009, under Favorite Video
I think most people are amazed at the intelligence a dolphin or bottlenose dolphin has stored up. Here is another example of something amazing dolphins can do. This was a video that got featured on World News with Charles Gibson and you can see for your self the amazing bubbles that dolphins can create.
Dolphin Bubbles at Sea World in Florida

What did you think?
You can see and discuss more about this at dolphin bubbles. A great website that allows people that love or have an interest in dolphins to voice their opinions and there is also a lot of great dolphin pictures that can be found here too. I was amazed to see these dolphins blowing bubbles out of their air holes and judging by other people’s comments, I wasn’t the only one.
Dolphins seem like creatures that do have a great personality. It’s no surprise that once they blow these amazing bubbles, they will go play with them too. I’m not sure how they can blow such perfect air bubbles like this, but it is very fascinating to watch. I would love to go to the Orlando area and see one of these dolphin shows. Judging by the video, it would appear that you can get an underwater view of these smart and beautiful animals. I hope we can continue to learn more about dolphins and protect them in the wild too. Dolphins are one animal that do seem to be a friend to humans.

Knowing Wins Best in Show at the Movies
by Chris Padgett on Mar.25, 2009, under Favorite Movie
In its opening debut, the new movie featuring Nicolas Cage went straight to number 1 called Knowing. This looks like a very good movie and if you have seen the previews you know why. This movie may just hold on to that top spot if the positive buzz continues to spread around about this movie. I have the movie Knowing high on my list of movies I would like to see most. The rest of the top movies playing right now are:
1. Knowing
2. I Love You, Man
3. Duplicity
4. Race to Witch Mountain
5. Watchmen
The top 3 movies on the list were all new movies that just started last weekend. It seems the new movies coming out is what people want to see most and the 2nd and 3rd weeks haven’t been kind to some movies lately. If there is going to be a new movie that goes to number 1 this weekend, I will go out on a limb and say The Haunting in Connecticut will grab the top spot. This is true story that I think will get a lot of attention this weekend. 12 Rounds is another new movie that should crack the top 10 this weekend. The kids will want to see Monsters vs. Aliens and this movie will probably land in the top 3 with so many young audience members it will be attracting.
As for now, the new movie Knowing sits on top of all the other movies currently playing and I would love to go see this one! Other notable movies are The Last House on the Left in 6th position and Slumdog Millionaire continues to show a strong posting with an 8th spot at the box office this week. This was the first week that Paul Blart: Mall Cop didn’t finish in the top 10, since its opening act in mid January.
Save Money on your TV Bill
by Chris Padgett on Mar.25, 2009, under Favorite Sitcom
I like to watch television as much as the next person does if not more. I am a TV junkie, so it’s important to watch all my favorite sitcoms and sports that come on. I have to own a TV and for me it is a necessity for life. I don’t like over paying for my TV bill though. Cable can really set you back each month and they do have limited channels they offer their customers. Anyone currently on cable may want to think about making the switch to Dish.
The guys from Dish Network can come out and install your satellite and the boxes for free! You don’t have to worry about paying installation fees or paying for your equipment. As long as you plan to keep your satellite for a certain amount of time and that’s the easy part; satellite TV offers a ton more channels than cable TV offers. I think this is the best part about Dish Network, but they also offer you a cheaper bill each month. Does you cable company have any packages for less than $10 a month? You can get a Dish Network package for as little as $9.99 a month! Now that’s a bargain and no one should still be using cable these days. Everyone should have a satellite on their roof top or out in the yard to start enjoying all the great programming that is available with Dish. If you’re currently a cable subscriber; just switch over to satellite for a test drive and you will see how much better it is than cable TV.

USA Loses in Baseball
by Chris Padgett on Mar.24, 2009, under Blogging
Baseball may be America’s Pastime, but they just got beat pretty bad by the team from Japan. A few major league stars made up the Japanese baseball roster, but the American team was filled with every day major league baseball players. It is disappointing to see our team lose to another country in baseball. The WBC (World Baseball Classic) features the top teams in the world and it is tough to win a 1 game series. The Japanese team has beat the team from South Korea and this gives them 2 straight championships in a row now. As tough as it may be to win 1 game baseball series, it seems the team from Japan finds a way to win. I hope the USA looks at this more seriously in the future and gather a better group of players and managers for this game. Davey Johnson did a fair job managing the game for team USA, but we should be able to find a better manager out there. I think we need more of our superstars playing in the game and some of the guys just didn’t belong there. Derek Jetter is over rated and no way should he have been batting so high in the batting order with a .260 average. Congratulations to Japan for winning the WBC and if changes aren’t made on the USA team; then Japan will continue to win these very important baseball games for our country.
Kentucky Personal Injury Lawyers
by Chris Padgett on Mar.19, 2009, under Blogging
The residents living in the Bluegrass State are lucky to have such qualified attorneys working in their state. I know the Frank Jenkins Law Offices is one good legal team to have on your side and especially if you have been hurt in an accident. Accidents happen all the time and people get banged up from car wrecks and work related injuries everyday. Sometimes these injuries can affect your normal working routines or limit you on the job. You may need a cash settlement to help provide relief if you can’t work or if the car is not able to drive. If this sounds like someone living in Kentucky now; you may need to hire one good Lexington personal injury lawyer to be on your side. I know the law offices of Frank Jenkins can help and you can call for a free consultation.
Top Movie: Race to Witch Mountain
by Chris Padgett on Mar.19, 2009, under Favorite Movie
The top movie over the weekend was Race to Witch Mountain. The movie has Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson starring in it along wtih AnnaSophia Robb, Ciaran Hinds, Carla Gugino, and Garry Marshall. I thought this movie would come out on top after all the figures came in from its opening weekend in theaters.
This movie topped some other good movies that are also currently playing in theaters across the country. The Watchmen lost its top spot position and fell to number 2 on the box office list. Another movie that made its debut was The Last House on the Left and this thriller had an impressive showing as movie goers flock to see this one too. The Last House on the Left was number 3 on the list and Taken followed it at number 4. I would love to go see all 4 of these movies and I’m sure they would be very entertaining.
I know director Danny Boyle won an Oscar for the movie Slumdog Millionaire and it’s been staying in the top 10 movies list for a long time now. Anyone planning to go see this one on Blu-Ray might have to wait just a bit longer. The new movie Miss March that started last Friday didn’t do as well as I had predicted. It seems the competition was too stiff at the movies last weekend or this really isn’t a movie people want to see right now. Miss March did crack the top 10 with a 10th place showing on the list. There may not be enough buzz about this new movie and it may not even make the top 10 next week.
From the top 4 movies at the box office right now, I think The Last House on the Left is the one I would want to see the most. It would be the movie that would get my vote from the top 4. What would be the movie you would want to see the most?
The new movies that will be coming out this week are Duplicity and one that looks really funny called I Love You, Man. Nicolas Cage will be starring in a new movie called Knowing and this movie should place in the top 5 this upcoming weekend. I think Knowing will stay in the top 10 and this looks like a possible number 1 movie. Tom Hanks will be playing in a movie called The Great Buck Howard. It doesn’t look like Tom has a big role in this movie and I doubt it makes it into the top 5 box office movies in its opening weekend. These are the 4 most notable movies that will be starting up this weekend. The theaters are getting a little crowded right now with so many good movies playing, but this makes it better for all of us that enjoy going to the movies.
LA Traffic for Motorcycles
by Chris Padgett on Mar.13, 2009, under Uncategorized
I don’t think I will ever be riding a motorcycle in Los Angeles anytime soon, but if I do, I will make sure I have good motorcycle accident lawyers Los Angeles before attempting it. An accident attorney is needed for every motorcycle rider in a major city and especially the ones riding their bikes in Los Angeles.
Rechargeable Batteries Needed
by Chris Padgett on Mar.13, 2009, under Uncategorized
We get use to anything in life that makes our lives easier. I’m not sure there is anything better than a remote control television. If we can’t find the remote control, we will walk around and look much longer; than if we had just went to the TV to change the channel in the first place. A remote control makes everything so much easier on us. Could you imagine if this technology wouldn’t have been invented? What our lives would be like if we had to get up and change the channel or fix the volume each time it needed adjusting.
I get to experience that type of life every once in awhile; when the remote batteries go dead. I never keep a supply of batteries on hand and it usually takes me a couple of days to make it out to the store, when the batteries do die on me. I need to break down and buy a new rechargeable battery set. It can be a little pricey to buy rechargeable batteries at first, but they do save you money in the long run. It would certainly save me time, if I could just recharge them and not have to worry about a trip to the store to buy new batteries. Now you can understand why I need rechargeable batteries!
Showering in Cold Water
by Chris Padgett on Mar.13, 2009, under Home Finance
I feel bad to those that have to get up in the early morning hours to get ready for work. It’s no fun waking up early and forcing your self to the bathroom to take a shower. The first time the water hits you from the showerhead isn’t pleasant and is a wake up call. A shower does help to get you going in the morning, but it can be difficult starting a shower when you just woke up from a warm bed.
I really hate taking a shower when someone in the kitchen turns on the hot water and causes the water in the bath tub to run cold. You have to reach down and turn the cold water down, but once the kitchen’s hot water is turned off again, it causes the water in the bathroom to be too hot then. I know some households have a limited supply of hot water and it’s easy to run it all out while taking a shower. If you like taking long, hot showers; you should really consider getting a larger water heater. A new electric tankless water heater or just a bigger size tank will allow more hot water to be stored inside. A new water heater will prevent those cold showers. This will help those people that have to get their shower in, after someone else in the house has taken one. A new water heater won’t stop you from having to wake up so early for work, but will keep the water running warm.
Kids Playing in the Yard
by Chris Padgett on Mar.13, 2009, under Blogging
I think all kids love to go outside and play. I know I loved the outdoors when I was younger. I would stay outside and play until the lightning bugs would start showing their bright glows in the late evening hours. I would have stayed outside long after the sun had gone down if my parents would have let me. It did feel like punishment when they would call me to come back inside the house.
The 4 Judge Idol
by Chris Padgett on Mar.13, 2009, under Favorite Sitcom
The popular show American Idol is getting just as much buzz this year as they have for the last several years. The show’s fame continues to attract TV watchers in America and other countries too. It has certainly become a staple in American television and you wouldn’t think the Idol would want to be tweaking anything. For some reason they thought adding a 4th judge to the panel would make things better. It doesn’t seem to be working out too well and the show runs into a real dilema if the votes are even by the judges.
When the show featured Randy, Paula, and the lovable Simon as judges it made a tie impossible. You might have a difference of oppinion with the American Idol judges, but having the 3rd person there created a tie breaker. Now with a 4 judge panel casting votes and oppinions on the singers trying to advance each round, it makes a tie very possible. They really should stick to the basics and keep producing shows that made the TV series popular in the first place. Trying to tweak a good thing is playing with fire and it should be interesting to see how many judges make up next year’s season of American Idol.
Fishing Master: World Tour
by Chris Padgett on Mar.13, 2009, under Favorite Video
I love this time of year where the last days of winter are passing by and the days are getting just a bit longer. The longer daylight hours we have results in warmer weather and this means the sooner I can go fishing. I do love to fish in the spring time of the year. There is nothing better than that first tug at the line; when a fish is biting at a lure or worm you have on your line. I think everybody enjoys fishing as long as they’re catching them. I just like getting out of the house and enjoying the peaceful sounds that come from fishing at a lake or river.
During the cold months of the year or on rainy days people can still fish, thanks to the video game industry. It is pretty fun to play the different video games that are about fishing. I don’t often like the sports video games, but the fishing and baseball games are pretty fun. Fishing Master World Tour is a good fishing video game that I think most anglers would enjoy playing. It takes a little time to see what works best with these video games, but getting the chance to choose where you fish and what type of bait to use is fun. If you like to go fishing in real life; then you would probably enjoy the video games like Fishing Master World Tour and others that feature fishing.
You can find Fishing Master World Tour at Buy.com and there aren’t any shipping fees to pay for getting the game delivered to you. I often go to Buy.com where I can look for anything that might be on sale and see if I can find any good bargains. I ran across the fishing video game when I was there today and thought I would pass along the information. I’m not sure where World Tour ranks with the other fishing games out there, but I’m sure it’s one of the better ones. Perhaps you can recommend other video games about fishing and I will give them a try one day. The video game isn’t as fun as real fishing, but it is something you can do when you can’t be at the lake trying to hook the big one.
Knowing How to Use Traffic Exchanges
by Chris Padgett on Mar.13, 2009, under Marketing
There is a lot of people out there that doesn’t understand how traffic exchanges work or the best ways to benefit from them. A traffic exchange is a place that members can surf and earn credits. The credits they earn for viewing other people’s websites, they can use to promote their own websites. It really is a great and free way to promote your website online and get new visitors coming to your site. People often get discouraged because they don’t see immediate results or they want better results than what they are achieving.
If you have a website that lists various products and you want people to come to your website and buy something from it; then a traffic exchange can help. You need to understand how it helps and the best way to use your credits in traffic exchanges. It isn’t likely that someone that signs up for a free traffic exchange are going to buy a product or service from your website. This is where a lot of people make the mistake with traffic exchanges. You’re targeting a poor audience more than likely and you aren’t going to get good results when you target a poor audience.
The people that use search engines to find things online everyday is where you want your website to appear. People rarely look at the 2nd page of a search through a search engine, so the first thing webmasters need to do is get ranked on the first page. You want to get ranked on the first page for various search terms that relate to your website. This is the way you target your audience and this will lead to better results or more sales for you.
A traffic exchange delivers traffic to your website, so this makes the search engines think you have more traffic coming to your website; than you actually do. Search engine rankings are based on a number of things, but the ones that have a steady flow of traffic coming to them is the ones that will get indexed the highest. You can benefit from having your website shown in the traffic exchanges, but it’s not the members of the traffic exchanges that you should be after. It’s their time spent at your website that will benefit you the most in the long run. It does take time for these traffic numbers to show up and the search engines to give you a proper ranking. Using traffic exchanges can be an effective way to market your self online, but it often takes weeks if not months for you to start seeing the positive results from them. You do want to use other marketing tools online and not just focus on traffic exchanges.
The longer a person visits your website is key for better rankings in the search engines. Since a traffic exchange has timers of 10, 20, or 30 seconds; then your not going to be doing well in this area. You do need to find ways to keep people at your website for longer amounts of time and this can be tough sometimes. You do need to be creative and have pictures or interesting headlines that will capture people’s attention and keep them looking at your website longer. When you learn how to get traffic coming to your website and keeping them there for minutes instead of seconds; this will lead to much better search engine rankings. Keep this in mind when you’re striving to get listed on the first page for a certain search term.
I do think every webmaster should be using traffic exchanges to an extent to get their website noticed. I would focus on the top 10 traffic exchanges for the best results possible. A website getting daily views from a traffic exchange will have the opportunity of getting listed higher, than a website that isn’t using traffic exchanges for extra visitors. Focus on the search engines and do everything possible to make sure your website is SEO (search engine optimization) friendly. This is where your target audience is and the people that will help you the most.

Top Movies Now Playing in March
by Chris Padgett on Mar.10, 2009, under Favorite Movie
A new movie released last Friday took top honors at the box office this week. Madea Goes to Jail was in the top spot and Tyler Perry’s new movie has fallen to number 2 as Watchmen is now the new number 1 movie playing. A lot of people have been waiting for the release of Watchmen and now everyone can go see it.
Watchmen is a movie based in 1985 that has a doom day’s clock that revolves around the USA and Soviet Union’s tension back then. They throw in a few super heroes to give a really unique look and twist to things and it seems this was enough to bring in the crowds. This movie is not for the younger audiences and does have a Rated R tag associated with it. The film was shot in Vancouver Canada, but produced in the United States. This is an action movie that has thriller scenes and fantasy roles being played out. All of those that like the science fiction types of movies will enjoy the Watchmen.
Taken is still holding on in the top 10 and this movie continues to do well at theaters. Taken was the 3rd top selling movie at the box offices this past weekend and I still haven’t seen it yet! I do want to see this movie and see all things this parent does to try and get back his daughter from the kidnappers that took her. This movie really looked good on the previews and judging by the numbers of people going to see Taken; I believe it would be a good one to watch.
Other movies making a claim on the top 10 include Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Slumdog Millionaire, Coraline, and Fired Up!. These movies might be in trouble this week with a lot of new ones coming out and I know one is going to lay a stake to a top 10 claim this weekend. Race to Witch Mountain is going to be a good one to go see this upcoming weekend. The former wrestler turned actor Rock is appearing in this one and Race to Witch Mountain will be one the whole family can see. I’m not sure how it will compete with Watchmen for the top spot, but it should be interesting to see which one wins. There might just be a 3 way battle for the top spot, because another good movie starts Friday called The Last House on the Left. The younger viewers will probably take Race to Witch Mountain ahead of all the other movies, but The Last House on the Left is a thriller type movie that will get a lot of attention. My predictions for this week’s box office sales:
1. Race to Witch Mountain
2. Watchmen
3. Last House on the Left
4. Miss March
5. Taken
It is a good time to be visiting the local theater and a lot of good movies will be playing this weekend. Going to see a movie at the theaters is a great experience and we all need to do it from time to time. Be sure to let me know which movie you plan to see this weekend or what movie you would most like to see. Don’t forget the popcorn!

A trip to the central part of Florida has anything and everything a family could possibly want on a vacation. Families have been making trips to Orlando for a long time now and they always come back happy from their Orlando vacations.
NASCAR Goes to Hotlanta
by Chris Padgett on Mar.08, 2009, under Favorite Sitcom

The weather has been beautiful all weekend in Atlanta for racing. Today NASCAR travels to the racetrack located just below Atlanta, Georgia in Hampton for the Kobalt Tools 500 race. The race car fans in the Peach State love NASCAR and their favorite drivers; when they see them make those fast laps around the Atlanta Motor Speedway. The track in Atlanta is the fastest track NASCAR has on their racing circuit. The residents of Georgia like to know that their track offers the highest speeds possible for these talented drivers that make up the NASCAR racing series.
The veteran Mark Martin will be sitting on the pole for Sunday’s race and Kurt Busch in the number 2 car will be on the outside row; next to the pole winner. The 2nd row will be Jamie McMurray and Juan Pablo Montoya that will try to apply as much pressure as possible to those front row guys. Starting from the 7th position will be Jimmie Johnson and he is usually a factor in any NASCAR race.
Kyle Busch was the winner of last year’s race in Atlanta. I think this year’s race might belong to Jeff Gordon and he’s off to a good start in 2009. Jeff Gordon is tops in the standings right now and he will be trying to increase his lead on Sunday afternoon. Most fans in the stands at Atlanta Motor Speedway will be rooting for Dale Earnhardt Junior and you should hear a big roar from the crowd if he manages to take the lead on any lap Sunday.
Conditions are great for racing in Atlanta and it’s looking like the air temperature will be around 66 degrees at the start of the race. The track temperature will quickly warm up and will be much warmer than the air temperature. 43 cars flying around the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Atlanta is a great site to see and I’m looking forward to the start of the race. Let’s just hope all the drivers take it easy early and we don’t have any big crashes at the start of the race. These super high speeds can cause a lot of damage to these cars if they do get in a fender bender. The field will stay pretty tight in the beginning and every driver will have to be up on that steering wheel guiding them around a very fast race track. I doubt we make it 100 laps with no caution, but 40 to 50 laps of green flag racing, will let us know early who may have the car to win it all on Sunday.
The guys are now pacing their self around the track and the green flag is about to turn them loose in Atlanta. If you like NASCAR and like a good race, make sure you tune in to FOX and watch the race live on TV. You won’t see the cars going this fast until they return to Atlanta’s track again in the fall. This is the race that every fan should watch, so they can see just how fast these guys can go around the track. Let’s go racing!
Winter Time with Horses
by Chris Padgett on Mar.08, 2009, under Blogging
The recent economic crisis has to really be tough on pet owners and farmers. I know the amount of money and time it takes to keep up with an animal and if that animal is a horse; then the costs can really add up. I know a horse can graze the fields during the warm months eating their fill on vegetation, but that isn’t around during the winter time. Horse owners have to make sure they have plenty of hay and horse supplements on hand to make it through the cold months of winter. It can get expensive if money is tight and most people are seeing less money these days. People that own horses or other animals that require a lot of time and money to keep up; may be forced to sell or put their animal up for adoption. This doesn’t usually go over good with the kids and especially if that animal has became a family pet. The weather is starting to warm up a bit, so most animal owners have made it through the biggest portion of this winter, but if things don’t look up soon, next winter could be a difficult time for those pet owners. No matter how hard things get, just try to do what’s best for the horse or any other animals you own. Let’s all make the extra effort to make sure the animals don’t suffer during these hard times and especially during the winter time.
