The girls from McKinney North High School in Texas continue their fame long after all the troubles they caused in one Texas high school. These girls that were dubbed the “Fab 5″ were a bit of a problem for a school and a community and apparently no adults were willing to step up. That was until the girls got one cheerleading coach that wouldn’t back down and decided to make a stand against the Fab 5 and the parents and school administrators that were backing these girls. One of the leaders of the Fab 5 had a mother that was principal of the Texas high school and many believe this was the root of the problem. The girls were featured on videos and pictures online in very provocative poses and all of this while still being in school and on the cheerleading team.
It was their senior year and they were going to go out with a bang and do it in any manner possible. Recently Lifetime aired the movie on these girls and once again giving them their 15 minutes of fame. The girls are legendary now and if you agree with them or not, they got and are still getting all of the attention they seeked. These Texas cheerleaders are showing that fame is possible by taking the wrong routes and as long as movies and media cover these types of events, fame will be a reward for behavior like this. I watched the movie on Lifetime and I really didn’t see this being a national story like it has become. I think there was a problem and the adults in charge didn’t nip it in the bud the right way. Things could have been handled much different, but I’m sure the beauty of these girls had a lot to do with them getting away with these things for so long. I think me and my buddies would have loved a Lifetime movie over our high school antics and it would be something we would have been proud of. I believe these girls are proud that their story lives on and they are the Fab 5 that people will remember from this Texas high school.

Do you currently work in a restaurant or cook up the meals in your household each day? Do you enjoy cooking and find yourself watching the cooking shows on television all of the time? Well if you’re someone that likes to cook you now have a video game you can play that matches your love for cooking. The game is called Order Up and it looks like it would be a lot of fun to play. You get to work your way up by preparing food, impressing food critics and even handling disasters in the kitchen. All of the things a typical chef would have to deal with and this is what I like most about the game. It gives you the chance to make all of those critical decisions in the kitchen that the customers will either love you for or they won’t come back. You can watch the Order Up! Trailer video at YouTube and get a better idea of this exciting new game for all of the food lovers out there. This game has been designed for the Nintendo Wii, so make sure you have this gaming console before you go out and buy the game. You will start off with fast food restaurants and if you do well there, you can move up to the fancy restaurants as chef and owner and you can then increase the menu items and the equipment you use in the kitchen. Please be sure to let me know how you did and if you enjoyed this game that lets you be in charge of the kitchen!

Well today is Thursday and that means it will be my night to go shoot pool. I spend 6 days a week on the computer and most of those are 12+ hour days, so it’s nice to get out and shoot pool on Thursdays. I am now going into my 7th week tonight, in my first 6 matches I have won 4 of them and lost 2. So I have a winning record and not bad for someone that hasn’t shot any serious pool in about 10 years. I use to play all the time and I am now just trying to work myself back into shape, to where my pool game use to be.
Billiards is a fun sport and if you haven’t ever joined a league before, see if the APA has an event in your area. They rate players based on their skill level, so you will have a fair advantage in your matches. My league is based on 5 matches a night and you play once a week. That means our team will put up 5 members on our team; against another teams 5 players and there will be 5 different matches. I’m a 3 ranked player, so that means I need to win 3 games before my opponent gets to their desired games needed. If I play a player that has a 2 ranking, they only have to win 2 games against me, where a player ranked a 6 would need to win 6 for them to be victorious. We play 8 ball in the league I am currently in, but there are 9 ball leagues available. As long as you make a clean hit and one of your balls goes in, then you get to shoot again. So slop is allowed and I’m not use to those rules in 8 ball. We do call the 8 ball and must say which pocket it will go in. We do this by placing a piece of chalk next to the pocket. However, the 8 ball can bounce off rails or other balls and as long as it finds its way to the pocket you chalked up, you will get credit.
The thing that can this the most fun is by being on a pool team that you like. So if you don’t feel comfortable with your team or someone is on your team that makes pool night no fun, be sure to change teams. Get on a team that you like everybody and this will make your league the most fun; whether your winning or losing. I really enjoy my current team and I hope they stick together for the fall pool league and I get an invite back to join them.
