Do You Have Enough Money to Retire?

Most people don’t have enough to retire on right now and they aren’t saving enough for when they do get old enough to retire. Many of us will have to work pass our retirement ages and I am one of those people right now. I hope I can start to save more money for retirement, but right now that is just impossible.

I took a great financial quiz and didn’t do well in the score, but did pick up some good tips and advice. I have a lot of debts right now and I really do need to Consolidate My Debt, so I can get it paid off. I know I am years away from that, unless I win the lottery. On the financial quiz, my score was a 68 or D and this is not good. I realize I’m not in the best shape right now financially, but hopefully I can tie up loose ends in 2008 and start a nice savings plan in 2008. So I know what I need to be doing, it’s just the money isn’t here right now and I know it will take time. You could also do your self a favor right now and get out of debt too. This would allow you to start saving more money for your retirement and we need to save as much as possible, because we don’t know what the cost of living will be like in our golden years. You will earn more money just by paying off your debts and stop those high rate interest fees. So the first thing we all need to do is pay off them debts! Go take your quiz with the BillsIQ and see what you can learn about your money situation.

Kidney Stones Too Big To Pass

Kidney stones can be one of the most painful experiences you will ever have. I should know I have had about 30 of them over the last 12 years. Most of the time you will pass them, but sometimes they get too big to pass. If you have a kidney stone in the kidney that gets too big and there is no way for it to leave your body, other means must be done. The most common and easy way is to get shockwaves to bust up the stone. I have had this procedure done twice and they put you to sleep when they do it. They just bust the stone up with shockwaves and then it passes through your system. You will pee sand out the first time you go to the bathroom after you have had this type of surgery. Sometimes they have to cut you and go in and remove the stone, but usually other things can be done to prevent this. I feel sorry for all of those that have had kidney stones in the past. They are no fun to deal with, but if you watch you diet better, you can avoid them.

Adding Photos to Greeting Cards

Do you ever send out greeting cards or invitations to someone? If you do, you might want to try adding a photo to the next ones you send out. A photo can add a nice personal touch to the message and it’s a great way to show off the kids, grandkids and even the pets too! Photo Birth Announcements are a nice way to send custom cards and lets everyone in the family get a look at the newest member. You can also add the other details like height, weight, time of birth and things like that and adding in the photo will give the announcements more flare. Lots of people like to send out cards during or around the holidays and this is another good opportunity to add a photo and these will be custom-made cards that won’t get thrown away. PhotoAffections.com is a great place to start with customizing an announcement card and they really do a good job with adding photos  in. Their artistic team can make your next cards stand out and you will be very happy with their services. It’s real simple to create your own announcements and once you learn how to do it, you will want to send out all your invitation, greeting and announcement cards this way.

Real Estate Prices Down

The land prices are going down and this isn’t a bad time to invest in real estate. The economy is so bad right now, that a lot of people just don’t have the extra money. I think the ones that do find the extra money now and invest it into real estate, will get to reap big rewards in the near future. God just isn’t making any more land and there is just so much of it to go around. Our population numbers continue to soar globally, so its just a matter of time before someone needs your land to live on or run a business on. They are some real estate bargain out there and you just have to search for them. Many people might be in financial jams right now, due to the economy. So some might be selling their land investments or property they own, so they can have some cash to get by on from day to day. Don’t give up on the real estate markets yet; they have a long ways to go back up, but real estate will always be in demand!

Hot Machines at the Casino

I use to think that after a machine hit (paid out a nice prize) it wouldn’t hit again anytime soon. I am thinking in new ways now and I think it’s better to find the hot machines. If you’re at the casino and you find a machine that is letting you win, be sure to stay with that machine. I have won big prizes of 500 dollars or more and once I have won a big prize like that, I have learned that it is best just to stay on that machine and wait for it to pay off big again.

Now I’m not sure if an online casino would work the same way or not. For those of you that like to gamble on the internet, it might be best to stay with the companies you’re having the most luck with. So try a few different online places that you can gamble at and if you find one that lets you win some real money, which might be the online casino you will want to stick with. Just remember that if you hit big on a machine or at an online casino, it doesn’t mean you can’t win again. Be sure to let me know about your lucky stories and perhaps you have found a slot machine before that would just not let you lose.

Baseball Still Doesn’t Get It

A somewhat exciting baseball game was shown on television last night that lasted into the wee hours of the morning for us on the east coast. The MLB All Star Game went into extra innings with the American League once again winning with a sacrifice fly to right field that happen in the 15th inning. It was the homerun derby champion from one night ago that was the one to step on the plate and ended a baseball game that left a bad taste in the fans mouth once again. We did have a winner this time, but the game was looking at the last batter of the night and this was the only way a winner got determined. If Justin Morneau gets thrown out at home plate and the National League could have manage to sent the game into a 16th inning, that inning would not have happened.

Once again baseball had a problem and they have failed to correct it. They don’t understand that we don’t care that Brandon Webb and Scott Kazmir pitched on Sunday. The fans see a baseball game with a bunch of rich spoiled brats that can’t break a sweat and do a little work for us. We are tuning in to a game to watch the best players play and we want to see them play. We don’t want guys being saved so they can return to their teams all nice and healthy. We want to see action and we want to see the game winner to be determined on the field. If baseball wants to continue to show these mid-summer classics in the middle of the summer, the teams and players will have to understand that the All Stars for their respected teams are going there to play a baseball game and not to sit on the bench and party, while we fans are left holding the check.

Save your money and let’s teach baseball a lesson. Forget the plans you had made to go out to the ball park this summer or to buy MLB gear. Let’s save those hard-earned dollars for our gas tanks and show baseball we don’t need them. Let’s let them come to us with an offer we can’t refuse. Don’t pay these guys salaries, when they are not even willing to pitch more than 1 inning, because it’s only an exhibition game. It’s a real game to the fans with real stars that we want to see play. Ludwick’s diving catch in left field and Miguel Tejada’s sensational shortstop plays are what the fans are missing from these All Star Games, because the true stars don’t want to break a sweat or use this time to just rest up. We deserve much better than what baseball is giving us. I will not be spending any money on baseball, until they fix the problems needed. Baseball doesn’t care about us (the fans), so why should we care about them. I urge you to boycott Major League Baseball to send these guys a message, that the All Star Game of 2008 was NOT acceptable. Times are hard right now and our economy is in bad shape and we need to be spending and saving our money on the important issues of life and not to the people that make millions of dollars just so they can pull the rug out from under our feet whenever they choose to. Strike against MLB!
