I really hate election years. All the commercials on television is the worse part about the election years. It doesn’t get much better when all the news stations are only focusing on the election and who said what and how this might help or hurt their chances of getting elected. There is not much hope in Obama beating McCain in the election this year, but if Hilary Clinton decides to run as Obama’s vice president; then I think the democrats would have the winning ticket.
Oil is now the number 1 concern for most Americans. This tops all the talk about Iraq and other political issues that the canidates are facing. Obama and McCain neither one will step up and just talk in normal terms and give yes and no answers to the questions ask to them. I really hope that someday we can see a politician that will step up and speak their mind and not worry about trying to cross all the “t”s and dot all the “i”s in their speeches. Honesty is the best policy and we as Americans can understand when a canidate makes a mistake. I just wish November was already here and we could stop all of the election talk. We still have months to go before the big voting day and the closer the election draws near will just be more of the ads on television we will see. So yes, the presidential election for 2008 is already old news for me and congratulations to the winner!

Some artists are very skilled in their artwork and in many cases can get a scholarship to a college for their drawing or painting abilities. For those that might lack the art skills needed for a scholarship but love to paint, might can find help for a college that helps paint homes every summer. College Pro Painters has been helping students get their paint brushes wet all over North America. They have been painting homes in Canada and in 29 U.S. states. While providing the fun and education of painting, it’s also a great way for someone to get an education, while serving their community too. Home Painters go around and paint houses in their cities, communities, counties, states and the provinces of Canada and this all got started back in 1971 in Ontario, Canada. Today this student painting company paints 30,000 homes each summer and all of their managers are full time college students. This is a win, win situation for everybody that is involved with this painting school company. The people in the community win by having these great young people around, because they get a quality paint job done to their homes which was needed. The students get a chance to bond with members of their community, exercise with all the hard work it takes to paint a home and all of this is productive time for young people. The more young people that get involved with community projects like this, is less time they could be out getting in trouble. So the whole idea of a student paint company is really great and I wished my community could get behind something like this.
Managers are full time college students and these are the franchisees of the College Pro Painters. Once they are selected to be a manager they get trained really well and they go out and help uphold the name of the College Pro Painters brand. They can then bring this good service to their community and everyone wins. To see how much this has grown since 1971 shows just how good this program really is. I would expect to see it continue to grow and I’m sure in the near future they will be thousands and thousands of extra homes that get painted each summer by the College Pro Painters.

Well the big American holiday is fast approaching and will be here Friday! The 4th of July is a fun time to get together with the kin folks and grill out during the day and then watch the fireworks when the sun goes down. Our area had some rain recently, but the heat will have everything dried out by Friday and I’m sure fire concerns will be present on the 4th of July. So many states having wildfires this year, I’m sure the fire departments all over the country have their concerns for fires that could get started from all the fireworks that will be going off. If you use fireworks this Friday, make sure you know where the air born ones are going and that conditions are not favorable for a fire. It’s a good idea to stay outside and watch the area or areas where your fireworks landed at for at least 1 hour after you have finished shooting them. To make sure that you don’t cause any new wildfires to start up in your area. Maybe Mother Nature will bless us all with a 1 hour rain on Friday that will dampen everything down. Have a great 4th of July and be sure to throw an extra hotdog on the grill for me!

I don’t think there is any place as exciting as Las Vegas, Nevada. I have never been there, but hopefully I will have the chance to go someday. The city is filled with lights that never get turned off and that is what I like best about Las Vegas. A place that you can go to at 2 or 3 o’clock in the morning and it’s just as alive with all the people trying to win money from the casinos. Vegas has taken in a lot more money than it has paid out, but the hopes that you might could be one of the few to leave Vegas on the plus side is what attracts millions to the dry air in Nevada each year. I can’t wait until the day I find my self planning one of those Las Vegas vacations. I will be so excited when that day comes and I’m sure I probably won’t be able to sleep the night before I leave for Las Vegas. If it’s action you’re looking for, then there is really only 1 place in the whole wide world to cure that craving and I think most would agree that Las Vegas is where the action is!

North Carolina is a beautiful state and the mountains are what make the state the most scenic in my opinion. However, if you come down from the mountains and head to the shores of the Carolina coastline, you will see that the beauty doesn’t really diminish and it’s just as beautiful as the rest of the state. Residents and tourists visiting North Carolina can experience the life on the Carolina shores in all the beach homes that are available for rent. You can find these rental homes in all the most popular areas that people travel to every year for vacation or just to relax in the ocean breezes. Many have searched for the Outer Banks rentals in areas like Corolla, Duck, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk and Nags Head. You can get a glimpse of these homes and even the floor plans at Carolina Designs Realty. They can connect you with one of these great rental beach homes that you and your family will love while visiting the outer banks region of North Carolina. I know some of the homes in Nags Head are really luxurious and it’s probably the place I would like to stay at the most. You will also find that you can get other great benefits with some of these rental homes like a hot tub, swimming pool or access to one of the beautiful golf courses on the Carolina coast. Just make sure you don’t forget about the beauty of North Carolina the next time you sit down to plan out a vacation with the family!

There are so many things that are available out there today for touching up websites and blogs. You should have no problems finding anything you need if you’re a webmaster looking to build or spruce up your website. So many new things come out each day that enhances websites and it’s incredible to see so many sophisticated websites online today. One thing that webmasters might want to check out is a digital signage. This can be a great tool to have added on to your website that can help with flash animations, text tickers, PowerPoint files and audio. Another great thing is the ability to broadcast live feeds from your website and live broadcasts or RSS Feeds that can be live and in real time is great eye candy for a website. I think the popularity for web based content that is in real time or live is going to continue to grow in the years to come. So if you’re a webmaster and looking to touch up your website just a bit, see if a live broadcast or a real time ticker might be something your guests might enjoy while visiting your online web pages.

I have reached the top spot on the countdown. I have been going through the best 10 rock ballads ever and I am ready to announce the top one of them all! Rock ballads are often great songs by bands that have lyrics with great meaning and played at a much slower tempo from their normal songs. Most of the time a ballad that a band chooses is what makes or breaks them. You have to have a couple of good fast paced songs, but the rock ballad can be the thing that moves the band to the next level. This next band had a lot of good songs and even a few rock ballads that were good. I believe this ballad is the top one ever and when you factor in all of the other great songs they did, it makes them a really good band. So here is my top rock ballad of all time!
Top Rock Ballad Ever
This was and is still a great song even today!
So many great things about this song led me to make it the best rock ballad of all time. It has the meaningful lyrics and the music goes from slow to up beat and shows the versatility of the band. Skid Row has a lot of good songs and I Remember You is one of their best ones. This rock ballad is one that you like to hear come on the radio and makes you just want to turn up the volume and go down memory lane with Sebastian Bach. Sebastian is very proud of this song and even talks about how everyone in 1990 dance to I Remember You at their prom in high school. He said that if you can do a song that everybody dance to like that in 1990 that you must have did something right.
I Remember You was released by Skid Row in 1989 and almost 20 years later, this is still a very good song. Skid Row also done other very popular songs like 18 and Life, Monkey Business, Slave to the Grind, Youth Gone Wild and Wasted Time. What is your favorite song by Skid Row? Do you think I Remember You is their best? Please be sure to let me know your favorite Skid Row song or songs and what you think about I Remember You as the top rock ballad of all time.
If you missed any of my other top 10 rock ballads, be sure to go back and review what I think are the top 10 best rock ballads of all time. Congratulations to Skid Row for having the top rock ballad on my blog about 20 years after they first released I Remember You!

A great way to clean up any mess in and around the home these days is with a Dirt Devil. These little vacs do a lot of work and you will be surprised at just how big of a mess they can clean up. You can now get one of the cordless vacuums from Dirt Devil that has the Energy Star label to go with it. So you know that your mess will be taken care of and you will be using energy that makes the most sense for our environment today. It’s great to see a company as big as Dirt Devil that has a product that meets the Energy Star approval.
They are so many advantages to having a cordless vac around to use. I think cleaning out the car is a pain at the local car washes and it’s so much better when you can use a cordless vacuum cleaner like the Dirt Devil to clean out all of your automobiles. They really do a good job under and between the seats. A lot of sucking power they have and will get in all those hard to reach places. If you only use these to clean out your cars, it’s worth the price. They are also very handy when accidents occur in the home and the next time you spill that drink or ashtray, you can quickly take care of it with the Dirt Devil. Once you own a Dirt Devil you will wonder how you ever got through life without one of these very handy tools that all households should have. Also don’t forget about all the energy that the Dirt Devil Accucharge saves each time you use it!

The winningest mascot in Georgia Bulldog college football history passed away over the weekend. The team won more games under UGA 6th, than the previous 5 english bulldogs that were before him. He will be missed in Athens and sad to see such a great college sports icon gone. The University of Georgia is looking for UGA 7 now and should have one before the Bulldogs take the football field this fall. UGA 6 is also the only college sports mascot that has ever graced the cover of a Sports Illustrated magazine. The funneral for UGA 6 was held at the south west corner of the stadium on Tuesday and a small ceremony was held for the most winning bulldog to walk the sidelines, since Georgia started using one as their mascot. I do believe the lucky dog that becomes UGA 7 will be coming in at a good time, as the Georgia Bulldogs might just have the best team in college football next year. Go Dawgs!
