I know it’s different for all married couples or those that are soon to be married. Some couples go with a big wedding with all the bells and whistles and some go with just a few close friends and family for a small wedding. It works the same way for the honeymoon and some newlyweds plan for the moon; while others keep it simple. Some grooms like to surprise their brides and will not tell them where they are going on the honeymoon, until they actually get there or are on their way there. Some couples will plan together on their honeymoon, so they both know where they’re going and they both will be happy with their chosen destination.

Now for those grooms out there that are doing a lot of hard thinking for the honeymoon plans, they might be surprised to know what the brides are thinking. Some brides will want to surprise the groom with sexy lingerie under their wedding dresses or something they can slip into on their honeymoon night, once they get to the hotel or place they will be spending their honeymoon at. It’s a growing trend among brides these days and they are taking more and more time to pick out the perfect bridal lingerie. So for all the grooms out there that has a hard time getting help from their brides on a honeymoon location, don’t worry, she just has other things on her mind!

If your boyfriend or girlfriend’s parents have something special they are celebrating in the near future, it is a good idea on your part to send them a little gift. If the person that you love the most right now, has parents that have an anniversary or birthday coming soon, it’s always a nice touch if you can send them a little something to show that you care. It will make them feel much better about you dating their son or daughter and a great way to start building ties to your new family; that someday could be permanent.

I know most young people don’t have a lot of money to spend these days, but I’m sure your parents would help pay for a gift that you might want to send to your boyfriend or girlfriend’s parents. You don’t have to go get nothing expensive, it’s just the thought that you’re mainly striving for. So just keep your gift simple and perhaps something like a gift basket would be a great gift to give. Just ask your mate about their parent’s birthdays or when their anniversary is and you can just make a mental note of it. When that special day does arrive and you give them a gift, its not only going to impress the parents, but it will also show your girlfriend or boyfriend just how sweet you are.

The 2008 NBA Finals is all set up now and we get to see the two rivalries from the 80’s compete against each other one more time. ESPN did a great little story on this the other night and showed all the fierce battles that the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics took part in during the 1980’s. This should be a fun series for NBA fans to watch and I really like the Los Angeles Lakers in this series. It wouldn’t surprise me to see a 4 game sweep and the trophy and rings going to the guys in the Golden State. This will be a true battle of East .vs. West and all the fun will start on Thursday.

Finding an MVP for the series might be tough, since stars play on both teams. While a nice collection of stars play for both teams, there are only two that stick out the most. When you factor in the way these guys have played in the past during playoff runs, there is no doubt that Kobe Bryant and Ray Allen are the two super superstars in this NBA championship game. So depending on which team wins the series, will depend on who gets the 2008 Finals MVP award. I like the Lakers to win this one in 4 games and I believe Kobe Bryant will be the MVP of the series, to go along with his MVP award from the regular season. If an upset would occur, then the MVP will be going to Mr. Ray Allen. Ray Allen is a tremendous player and knows all about the clutch time of big games and he’s one player that won’t choke for the Boston Celtics. The Celtics do have some other players that are over-hyped, but its Ray Allen that runs the ship in Boston. So good luck to both teams and I look forward to the Ray Allen and Kobe Bryant match ups, to see which one of these superstars can bring home an NBA title to their respected cities.

Heavy weight boxing has disappeared from the media and most boxing fans attention, because there aren’t any good boxers out there. The way boxing is set up is poor anyways, but the boxing commission isn’t doing their job promoting the sport or their fighters anymore. We don’t know of any big names that use to make up the boxing ranks and the days of Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson are long gone.

Boxing needs a few big names in the sport right now and professional heavy weight boxing has took a back seat to celebrity boxing. I enjoy the celebrity boxing, but would like to see a heavyweight boxing match get hyped up in the near future. I don’t know of any of the current new starts on the scene and I’m sure most of the public is like this. If we only had 2 boxers with a name in the heavyweight ranks right now, we could build up anticipation of a clash in the upcoming months. I don’t think boxing cares about this right now and the sport that already had it shares of struggles in the past, are just falling further back to the wrestling events and lower rank boxing classes of the world.

When the weather warms up and mosquitoes start to swarm our yards, this will be when more and more West Nile Virus cases are reported. I am someone that gets in a “movie - watching - mood” and I am a little bit over due for sitting down and watching some good moives. When you record a movie on DVR, you can start to watch it and if it doesn’t look like its going to be any good or the story line is just too hard to follow; then you can delete it off the DVR and start up a new one. That’s what I like about the DVR and it comes in handy for catching up on all the good movies you haven’t seen yet. I usually just get the movies off the satellite channels and every month they feature new movies that will be coming on television. Since May is almost over and June will be here soon, I need to go ahead and get caught up on all the May movies that I haven’t seen yet, so I can be ready for the June movies. So it won’t be much longer, before I start popping the popcorn and laying back and catching up on some movies I haven’t seen yet. Searching for a new set of wheels can always be a fun experience. It isn’t no fun if you don’t have enough money to buy a new or used car that you would like to have as your next set of wheels. I haven’t sat down and played poker with the boys lately. I have been very busy trying to do so many other things online; I just haven’t found time for it. I have probably bitten off more than I can chew, but will try to worry about that later.

I would like to get with the fellas and play a good card game with them sometime. We haven’t played poker in awhile and I think it would be fun. We play all sorts of games when we get around the card table. We will play 5 card draw, Texas Hold’em, Dr. Pepper, Queens and Fours wild (but we call this game something slightly different…lol) and will even sometimes just play rummy. We have the most fun playing some version of poker, but rummy and even a little spades game with partners can be fun too. We don’t really gamble for big money or nothing, but just use our pocket change for the weekly poker game. I have made more than 50 dollars, when a lot of people would play and a lot of people had a lot of pocket change. Normally a winner from one of our card games would be in the 10 to 15 dollars area. It’s just fun to play and when you add a few nickels and dimes into the game, it makes winning seem better than just winning for pride. We do talk some junk at our poker games and I’m sure it would be very entertaining to an outsider watching us play poker.

We normally set up a card game for around 7 or 8 in the evening on a Friday or Saturday Night. Once we start playing, there is no telling when we might stop. We have seen the sun rise up in the morning on many occasions, so a poker game for us is an all-nighter or can end up that ways sometimes. My top 10 rock ballads countdown is rolling along. I have already named 7 great rock ballads and only have 3 spots left for the best of the best when it comes to rock ballads. I’m sure my next 3 rock ballads could easily be number 1 on anybody elses top 10 list. So the exact order isn’t really important, but I do believe most will agree with my next 3 choices as being top 10 rock ballads of all time. So let’s get to it and here’s my choice at number 3 for this week!

3rd Top Rock Ballad of All Time

Ok, the 3rd spot on the countdown doesn’t just go to a song, but actually more to the group. Bed of Roses by Bon Jovi is a great song and is the video I selected for the third best rock ballad of all time. However, Bon Jovi is the king of rock ballads and they have put out more great rock ballads than any other band. So any Bon Jovi Rock Ballad could be plaed in the number 3 spot in my countdown. Bed of Roses would be tied with I’ll Be There for You and is another really great rock ballad that Bon Jovi has produced. Another solid song that is worth a top 10 consideration would be Always by Bon Jovi.

The song Bed of Roses was released by Bon Jovi in 1993. This song was featured on Bon Jovi’s album Keep the Faith. This song did reach the 10th spot in the early 1990’s on the Billboard Hot 100. Jon Bon Jovi wrote this song in a hotel room, while he was recovering from a hangover.

The band Bon Jovi is from Sayreville, New Jersey. When the band started their members was lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, bassist Alec John Such and drummer Tico Torres. I doubt the band could have imagined then just how big and successful they would actually become. The band has sold over 34 million albums in the United States, but the band’s popularity reaches beyond the borders of this country and on the global scale; they have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide. So it would seem that 1 or 2 people like their music out there and I am someone that loves most of the songs the band has came out with. The song Wanted Dead or Alive is one of my favorite songs of all time and the line in the song that says “I seen a million faces and I rocked them all” is one of the greatest lines in a rock song ever!

So what is your favorite Bon Jovi song? Answering a question like that is a lot like asking to name your favorite song of all time. Most people don’t have just 1 song they consider their favorite and since Bon Jovi has so many great songs, it’s hard to name the best song by them.

So I have no problems with awarding Bon Jovi the 3rd spot in my countdown of the greatest rock ballads of all time. You can go back and check the other great rock ballads I have listed so far in my top 10 countdown.

It’s not uncommon to hear about tornados in late May in the United States. It is uncommon for the state of Colorado to be having them and the ones currently going on right now have been really destructive. I hope all the people in Colorado are doing ok and people are taking shelter for the storms that is currently going on there. It just takes a few short minutes for 1 tornado to change a community forever and it appears that several tornados are doing that in Colorado right now.

So why do we have tornados in Colorado? I’m sure there is a lot of people asking that question and I’m sure there is a lot of different answers for that question too. I believe many answers would come from global warming and all of the things that are drastically changing in our environment right now. I think the whole world is going to be affected by global warming and no one knows for sure what those changes might be exactly. Droughts and floods will be the most common 2 changes we see in our environment, but the bad hurricanes and tornados that pop up from time to time, may be more deadly than ever before. I’m sure many people still doubt the effects of global warming, but I’m sure the opinion of a lot of Colorado residents have changed over the last 2 days.

The Colorado tornados are a serious matter and hopefully everyone is taking shelter and all the medical and aid workers will be arriving in the areas that are hardest hit soon. The air is still very unstable in this region and more tornados might be spawning from these unstable conditions in Colorado.

Everyone would like to have more time these days and finding ways to save it, can be a daily battle. A fan watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball the other night fell down a stairwell that was estimated 150 feet long and the fan did not survive this fall. It’s right now being reported that the fan was under the influence of alcohol and an investigation is pending into the matter. The Atlanta Braves and their organization did release a statement and they are sorry for what happened and offered the family of the fan their condolences. It really does cast a dark shadow over the series between the Atlanta Braves and one of their biggest rivals the New York Mets.

It’s amazing that a fan could die in this fashion in today’s time and the way sports arenas are constructed. You know that a place that had a professional baseball game being played and in the heart of Atlanta, that medical personnel would have been on the matter quickly and all the hospitals and care in the city of Atlanta, it is amazing that someone could actually die from a fall like this. A person falling down is one of the leading causes of injuries in our nation. You can even consider it serious injuries in a lot of cases, but to have death as a result of a fall for someone that is 25 years old is very rare. I can only assume that head injuries played a part in this and perhaps an underlying medical condition that the fan might have been under. It truly is a sad state for this man’s family and to lose a loved one that went to just see a baseball game. Some reports have said that the man might have been sliding down the hand rails at Turner Field, but even consider that and perhaps the involvement of alcohol; no one could have imagined that a fall like this would result in death. I’m sure talks are already under way for preventing this type of thing from happening in the future and even Major League Baseball might play a part in this to have alcohol sales reduce at all baseball stadiums in the country.

Is vacation close and your money is going to be short some? We all like to have plenty of money on vacations and if you’re going to be so far from home, it’s a good idea to have extra money on hand. I think Mother Nature does a fine job and women should only use cosmetic surgery when it is necessary. If women use it properly and for health reasons, then there are a lot of benefits to cosmetic surgery. I would guess more than 90 percent of all the women now that have some sort of plastic surgery done, do not need it for health related issues and have it done for beauty purposes only.

I know the industry is growing and doctors are getting better at touching the women up out there. Some women really do look much better after they have some cosmetic surgery that has been done to them. I just hope the adult women now, are not setting bad examples for the younger girls out there or perhaps even their own daughters. No girl in her teens or twenties should be thinking about plastic surgery. If a woman gets to be 30 years old and is still unhappy with her appearance; then let her have some type of plastic surgery done. I hope all the ladies and girls that are under the age of 30, will let nature take it’s coarse and see what type of woman nature has in store for you!

The telemarketers have scared us all from answering our phones.
