The BCS (Bowl Championship Series) left off a deserving team in the college championship game. It’s not clear how they could justify putting Ohio State in the big game. The Buckeyes proved last year (with a more talented team) that they couldn’t play against some of the best teams the South has to offer. The South doesn’t get a lot of respect on the National Landscape and while just one year ago; many in the media was wanting to put Ohio State and Michigan in the championship game. LSU and the Georgia Bulldogs are the best teams in the nation right now and they should have met in the last college football game of the year.

The Georgia Bulldogs proved to the nation that Hawaii was no match for their championship caliber team and the Georgia Bulldgos are the champs in the 2007/2008 college football season. There was no team in the nation as hot as Georgia coming down to the wire. They are the true champs of college football this year. Hands down the Georgia Bulldogs had the best team in the nation. They are a young team with most of their players coming back. They should be the preseason number 1 in college football next year and hopefully the voters see that and don’t punish them in back to back years. The Georgia Bulldogs should be ranked 1st and maybe the Oklahoma Sooners should get the 2nd place nod. The USC Trojans just doesn’t have that good of a team and they just beat up teams in a weak PAC 10 shedule. I would have USC ranked 9th in my preseason rankings at the beginning of the 2008 college football season. The fans in Athens, Georgia has nothing to worry about; the college football world can see that the Georgia Bulldogs is the best team in the nation this year and for next year too.
