I saw an interesting story today and it involves the Christmas spirit. We all know how prisoners spend 24 hours a day trying to think of a way to escape. I guess people in hospitals can share a lot of their desires to get out as well. I know the 2 times I have spent in the hospital, I just couldn’t wait to leave. Some patients in South Africa decided to make their own escape plan and it was because they wanted to spend time with their families for Christmas. Now that sounds like a nice gesture, but these patients all suffer from TB. Tuberculosis is a highly contagious disease and people that suffer from it have to stay in quarantine. These 49 patients in Africa escaped by cutting a wire fence and getting out of the hospital’s isolation unit, in an apparent attempt for them to spend time with their families.
Since this story has broke 20 of the 49 patients have turned their self in. Authorities are hoping that more of these patients will follow suit. The area already suffers from a high aids population and the TB feeds that virus and a TB outbreak would be devastating to the folks in Southern Africa.

There is currently a search under way to find the creators of this video below. The person that posted this on YouTube didn’t know where the original footage came from and now an intense search is in progress to find the makers of this video. It’s a story of two guys that are traveling from Los Angeles to New York and they have a camera mounted to the back of their car for the whole trip. Please watch the video below and any information you know about this video; then please relay it along!
MYSTERY VIDEO
Please reply if you have any knowledge concerning this video!
Now the singer you hear on the video is the daughter of Sally Struthers (Gloria -All In the Family) and her name is Sam Rader. She is a very talented musician that taught her self. Sam Rader began writing music in her early twenties and was inspired by artists like Paul McCartney, Lenny Kravitz, Fiona Apple, Radiohead, Tori Amos, Nick Drake, Beck, Jeff Buckley and Jason Falkner. She has now created her debut album Goldstar Galaxy and it includes 7 songs. One of the songs on that album is named “Grey” and it’s the song you hear in the video above. Sam has been playing to a loyal and devoted audience for the last 7 years and now you have the chance to listen to her music for your self. The lovely daughter of Sally Struthers is described to have a “sensual voice and distinctive melodies are as beckoning and satisfying as sun-warmed sand.” I like how they used the “sun-warmed sand” to describe Sam Rader and just hearing someone described in that way makes me want to hear their singing. If you would like to hear more of Sam Rader, you can order from one of the links below:
iTunes or CD Baby
Be sure to pass the word around and let’s solve the “Grey” Mystery! Let’s make sure we let the people know that their video of two guys driving from L.A. to New York is being shown all over the internet right now! They deserve the credit and to let them know just how rad they are!

Will Smith stole the show on the big screen this past weekend. His new movie I Am Legend led all the other movies and including the new movie Alvin and the Chipmunks; which finished second on the box office sales. I really wanted to go see I Am Legend but didn’t get the chance to. I think a movie about a man being the last person living on Earth would be pretty exciting. I think that would be a scary feeling, but even if you were the last person on Earth, surely you would believe that there would be someone else alive. So I think the last person living on Earth, won’t actually know they are the last person on Earth.
TOP TEN MOVIES
1. I Am Legend
2. Alvin and the Chipmunks
3. The Golden Compass
4. Enchanted
5. No Country For Old Men
6. The Perfect Holiday
7. This Christmas
8. Fred Claus
9. Atonement
10. August Rush
These movies are all going to be in a battle this upcoming week when Tom Hank’s Charlie Wilson’s War comes out. This looks like a good movie and deals with the tension between the Soviets and USA during the Cold War. Another good movie that starts Friday will be Sweeney Todd and this one should do well too. National Treasure: Book of Secrets will start with this group also and you should see these 3 movies, with Alvin and the Chipmunks and I Am Legend all in the top 5. If I had to predict the box office sales, this is the way I would rank them.
1. Charlie Wilson’s War
2. National Treasure: Book of Secrets
3. Alvin and the Chipmunks
4. Sweeney Todd
5. I Am Legend
I could see Alvin and the Chipmunks going past I Am Legend this week and possibly going back to their number 2 spot. It should be interesting to see where movie go’ers go and see this upcoming weekend before Christmas.
I would like to see all 5 of these movies and in time, I’m sure I will.
