We are up to number 6 this time and soon we will be releasing the other half of the top 10 videos of all time. Number 6 is a blast back to the 80’s when there was so many videos that were great. It was hard to find a band as popular as this one back in the 80’s. One member of the band just recently celebrated a birthday on October 27th and it was there 49th birthday. It’s hard to imagine any member of this band being 50! Happy belated birthday Simon LeBron!

This video was shot in Sri Lanka and it shows all the beautiful scenery in that part of the world. It must have been a fun video to do and it came out great; when you can sit back and see the final product of this popular song. This song has been featured in a recent commercial, where a guy is talking out the lyrics. There is also a little bit of a dark history with this song and it was the influence of a woman trying to kill her 3 small children. Hollywood got their hands on the script and Farrah Fawcett plays the mother in this true story.

The song is Hungry Like the Wolf and it was sung by Duran Duran. Duran Duran started back in the late 1970’s and this legendary band was from England. They have had many hits and even today, people still talk good about this band from England. The Reflex was another big song that this band done and it’s every bit as popular as Hungry Like the Wolf. It would be hard to have a top 10 video countdown without adding Duran Duran to the mix.

Texas Hold’em is one of the most popular poker games right now. You can see a lot of shows on television these days that feature the Texas Hold’em game. A Simple Plan is a good movie for anyone that hasn’t ever seen it before. It’s about 3 guys that discover a plane that has crashed in the snow. The pilot is dead on board and the men find 4.4 million dollars on board. They decide they want to keep the money, but they will wait for the plane to be discovered in the spring and see if anyone will miss the money. If the money isn’t mentioned, they will split it up 3 ways. Billy Bob Thornton’s character is great in this movie and his character makes this “Simple Plan”, not so simple. So many twists and turns in this movie and it’s a good example of just what people will do for money. I think I would keep 4 million dollars too, if I found it in a wrecked airplane. That kind of money could change your life forever and even if you did have to split it with 2 other people. This is a good solid movie for anybody that is looking for something new to watch on television.

After Alyssa Milano made her September 6th announcement on her blog, about having a role on My Name Is Earl, she made her debut on October 25th. She visited the prison that Earl was being held at, to visit another prisioner that is a buddy of Earl’s. She came in with a bang as she had a skimpy police uniform on, when she made her visit. The young girl that played Samantha Miceli on Who’s the Boss didn’t waste no time in growing up in Earl. She was using curse words and it was a far cry from her role on Who’s the Boss. Even Earl got to see a picture of her nude and where a certain tattoo was placed in a very private area.

I think she is going to be good for the popular NBC hit My Name is Earl. It’s a great show for anyone that has never watched it before. Earl tries to help all his friends out around him and he takes a simple approach to solving most things. Alyssa’s character is named “Billie” and I think her presence is going to increase the viewership for that show. It should be interesting to see where her character goes from here, because she has broken off her relationship with the other prisioner. Earl tore the nude picture in half and only kept the top part of it, where it only shows Billie’s face as the show was going off Thursday Night. The next episode will be at 8PM Eastern Time on November 1st, and the show airs on NBC.

A good way to make sure that your next vacation has few problems is to insure it. More and more people are starting to see the benefits of travel insurance. It’s a great way for the family to prepare for some unseen thing, which can cause your vacation to be a disaster. I don’t think I have ever had a major problem on any vacation I have ever taken, but it wouldn’t have taken much for it to go wrong. I think I will start looking at different insurance plans the next trip I plan for. Insurance is always a wise investment and if you ever have to use it; it will be one of the best ways you ever spent your money!

The Federeal Government will be getting together with the state leaders and officials from Florida, Georgia, and Alabama concerning the shrinking water supplies. As a Georgia resident, I am saddened that we couldn’t work this out on our own with our southern neighbors.

I understand everyone’s concerns and I am trying to keep my opinion as unbiased as possible. Our local news here in Georgia and government leaders are quick to compare the humans of Georgia and the mussels of Florida. That seems to be where our media is at in Georgia. I realize it’s not as simple as that and we shouldn’t be comparing human life/needs with the mussels or any other species that are in danger from the river running dry.

We are about southern hospitality in the South and we should be able to work these things without involving the government. It’s true the federal government does have laws in place on these matters and they do require Georgia to send so much water down stream each day/week/month/year for the residents of Alabama and Florida. We have upheld those laws for many years now, but it’s clear that we can’t continue down this road with our two biggest lakes drying out. Lake Lanier and Allatoona are the main sources of water for much of North Georgia and these lakes do help millions and millions of people downstream.

Now the folks in Georgia need to realize that most people live downstream from the Buford Dam that holds water in Lake Lanier. We have to continue to release water from that dam to serve our own people in the city of Atlanta and other parts of the metro area. So this problem isn’t as simple as keeping too much water stored up in Lanier. We do need to send millions of water downstream each day for our own residents of Georgia.

One thing that Alabama and Florida need to realize is if we don’t start choking off some of this water, there will be no water for anybody. I’m sure many of you don’t buy that and understand Georgia is just trying to keep the top part of the water in tact. It’s that part of the water that is the cleanest and needs the least amount of treatment from our water companies. The mussels in Florida are use to this fresh top water. We don’t want to drink the water on the bottom of the lake and I’m not sure if this water would be good for the mussels or not. This is cotaminated water and our mussels in Lake Lanier are use to this water, but that might not hold true for the mussels in Florida.

If the lakes run dry, we all lose out! That’s the bottomline in this whole matter. Georgia and Florida both have voices powerful in the White House and I’m not sure Alabama can compete with the political powers of Georgia and Florida. Alabama is probably going to get the least amount of help from the government and they might have to take more extreme measures than their southern neighbors of Georgia and Florida are going to be force to.

The best thing that can happen for all of us is simple. We need rain and lots of it! Two good things come from rain on this matter. If it rains, we release less water from the dam and we are saving millions of gallons of water. As long as the downstream areas are getting wet, we don’t have to send as much water downstream. The second part of that is the tributaries will be flowing faster during a good rain and more funnels into the lakes of Allatoona and Lanier. This will cause the lakes to fill up much faster. A big rain event right now can stop our leak and add tons of water to our lakes. Some experts have said we need a solid month of rain to fill the lakes back up. That’s not true! Rains that would fall on the states of Florida, Alabama, and Georiga at the same time, would fill-in the lakes at a rapid pace. If we were receiving 1/2 inch of rain every 2 hours, we could fill up both lakes in a 2 day period. That is all it will take to fill up our lakes. Now the lakes would drain down pretty quickly if sunny days set back in after the rains. I think November will be the month that cures everything and our rains in November will fill the lakes up by December 1st!

Throw away your old, standard Christmas lights that you may have. Get these great new modern LED holiday lights this year for Christmas. These new lights use 1/10th of the energy as the old lights do. They will burn for about 50,000 hours and if you figure out how many hours you use your Christmas lights each year, you will see these lights will last for a very long time! These lights produce very little heat and you will feel much better about throwing these around the bushes and shrubs in the yard. They are very durable and tough; so you don’t have to be too gentle with these LED Christmas lights. There is just so many reasons to get LED lights this year for the holiday season, opposed to the lights you and your family have been using. I like to see any products that are better for our environment and if everybody would use these new LED lights this year for Christmas; we could save so much energy. Saving energy is a great way to help our planet and the environment in which we live in. One way that an artist can get on the top 10 here is by having two solid videos. Maybe they don’t have a top 10 video, but had 2 strong videos. I will award them a spot on the video countdown and list both videos in their respected spots. That is the case for the 7th best video of all time.

The 7th best video is by a very popular group called Aerosmith. They have so many great songs and videos, but I think I have found two that deserve to be on my countdown. This first video is about the people in it. Anytime a singer can put his daughter in a video with Alica Silverstone and pull it off as successfully as they did, deserves some recognition. So the first part of this video at number 7 has the lead singer’s daughter appearing in it, along with Alicia Silverstone.

Steven Tyler just didn’t stop there with using his daughter in a video. The 2nd part of this number 7 video also has the lovely Liv Tyler appearing in it. This video was very popular and it had a big Hollywood movie that help push this song up the charts. I think this video, along with Crazy makes Aerosmith a true canidate for a top 10 spot in my top 10 videos of all time.

How great is life for Steven Tyler? To have a band as successful as Aerosmith and finding a way to have his daughter ride his coat tails and making a name for her self too! I’m just happy to have both of them at the number 7 spot on the best 10 videos ever. Aerosmith has a lot of other good videos and about a half dozen or so of them, could have easily replace any one of the videos above.

Did anybody watch this on CNN? I thought it was a great 4 hour show on our climate change that is currently taking place. I thought Anderson Cooper, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, and Jeff Corwin from the Animal Planet did a great job putting this show together. They went to places all over the world and showed just how bad things are getting on Earth now.

There is no simple solutions to these problems, but the main problem I see is over population. I think everything goes back to this and instead of focusing on global warming and finding ways to reduce our carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere, we should stop population growth. That might seem a bit extreme, but I would rather be a little extreme than not having a planet to live on. We need to make changes and they need to start now. It’s up to the politicians to start putting laws in place to help with our climate change problems we are having.

I would suggest in 2010 that all girls and boys born in the USA would have some sort of surgery at birth, to prevent them from having children. That might seem a bit harsh and cruel, but it’s enough time for parents to plan their births in our country. It would last for the entire year of 2010 and every child born in that year, would be fix from having children. Do the same thing in 2015 and when 2020 gets here, I would extend it for 2 years then. 2020 to 2022 you would fix all children in those years from having any more children in the future. This process would happen again in 2030 to 2032. Just keep going every 10 years and for any parent or person that didn’t agree with these new laws, could just not have children in those selected years. This would help the USA out tremendously and would slow our rapid population growth that we have now.

My idea might seem far-fetched, but it’s either something of this magnitude or we are going to start a World War again and people will be fighting over all the Earth’s resources that man has been misusing for all these years. We have to do something now and slowing down our population growth has to be the top thing on the list!

The series starts tonight between the Boston Red Sox and Colorado Rockies. I think everyone knows who the favorite is in this World Series match up. Some even think the Sox will wrap this up in 4 games and send the Rockies looking for their luggage and putting an end to their remarkable season. The baseball community as a whole has picked against the Rockies for this entire post-season. I think the Rockies might have a little left in their tank and will give the Red Sox a run for their money. I will take the Rockies to win this series in 5 games!

The San Diego Chargers have packed up their players, coaches, and equipment and went to Arizona to practice for thier game this Sunday against the Houston Texans. I think they have made a poor judgement to do this and abandon the Southern California area that is in such dire need of help right now. The Chargers have just showed that their football game this Sunday is more important than the folks around Qualcomm Stadium. Their own football stadium is being used for an emergency shelter for the people that have been left homeless form the California fires.

The Chargers have 50+ guys that are very strong and have endurance for helping with the fire fighting efforts. They also would be great for morale around the Qualcomm Stadium area. The team felt that a football game was more important than sticking around and helping all those people that have just lost everything they ever owned. I realize the area is filled with a lot of rich and very well-to-do folks, but there is also a lot of homes burning down to the ground, that aren’t that wealthy.

The Chargers game isn’t until Sunday. They could have missed a few practices to help the folks in Southern California and still could play the game on Sunday. So it’s not like they are actually missing a football game, but are choosing practicing over helping the folks in their community. I will not be rooting for the Chargers this Sunday and I hope the Houston Texans will add another talley to the loss column; to their already dissappointing season.

Some people need to just stop and realize when people really need help and not expect others to pick up the pieces. Everyone in Southern California is going to have to pitch in now and in the future to help build this area back up. The San Diego Chargers just missed their opportunity to make a difference!

Tonight is a big night for the Indianapolis Colts and my fantasy football team. I’m losing by about 100 points right now in my fantasy football league and need Peyton Manning and Maurice Jones Drew to have a big night in Monday Night Football tonight.

The Colts will be playing the Jacksonville Jaguars in the game tonight. I have 5 players playing for me tonight, but Peyton Manning needs to have a great night for me. His stats are the one that can help me the most. If he has a big night tonight, my fantasy team still has a shot to win. My next biggest star would be Maurice Jones Drew for the Jags. If he can score a couple of touchdowns and get close to 100 all purpose yards, I like my chances of winning in fantasy football this week. My other 3 players I have playing tonight are defensive players and they probably aren’t going to help much, unless they get an interception or take a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Bob Sanders for the Colts and Mike Peterson and Sammy Knight for the Jaguars are my three defensive players. I figured as a group they can collectively get me 25 points for tonight. I would hope Maurice Jones Drew could get about 25 points, leaving Manning to have a big night and would have to produce over 50 points. If these 3 things happen, I can  join a log jam for the playoff spots in my fantasy league.

Just try to get your website or blog on as many other websites as possible. The more incoming links you have is the best!

Tattoos are gaining in popularity and more and more people are getting them. Today you see so many sports athletes, teens, and everyday people sporting some type of tattoo. Even women and young girls are getting tattoos now and its became the hip thing to do.
