Coke Zero: Life As It Should Be: Real Taste; Zero Sugar

As the anniversary for 9/11 approaches once again, I think it’s another year we need to take time out and remember the worse day in American History. Where our country was under attack from a foreign source and still continue to combat that force today. Most of the experts think we will have future terrorist events, but we can only hope they don’t come no where near the destruction that 9/11 brought us.

The theme always needs to be “I will never forget” so we can always remember the innocent people and the brave firefighters that lost their life in New York, Washington D.C., and in Pennsylvania. I will never forget that day and I’m just another person that remembers where they was at when those planes first hit the World Trade Center Towers that morning in September. I was actually on my computer that morning and a person online told me one of the buildings was on fire. It wasn’t clear at that point what caused it, but it became clear when the 2nd plane hit the other tower in New York.

Supporting our troops and president is so important in these days and times. If you have your doubts that our troops shouldn’t be in Afghanistan or Iraq, then just remember 9/11 and what our young men and women are doing over there. Human sacrifice is the ultimate price we have to pay for anything. Our freedom has cost us human life and we will never forget the people that have gave their life for our freedom in this country.

Flight 93 fought back and now it’s our turn to fight back!

The tournament for the Olympics is now underway in Las Vegas. The FIBA Americas tournament is going to be the one to see who represents the America’s in basketball when the Olympics take place next year in China. The USA Team has really been looking good and they will face an undefeated opponent tonight in Vegas. Argentina isn’t even playing with their best players and has managed to have a perfect record to this point. The USA team has not been beat either, so this will be a good game between two undefeated teams tonight in Las Vegas.

I wish I knew where the American Team was staying at, because I think it would be a good place to go for autographs. So many places that they could be at, and it’s not as easy as just picking one popular hotel like the Flamingo Las Vegas. They are a number of famous hotels that the team could be staying at. Then again, Wayne Newton’s House is so big, he might just be keeping them at his place.

Hopefully the USA Team will be able to get off to a good start and beat the team from Argentina early. They are 3 NBA players that play for them, but they are not participating in the Las Vegas Tournament. So the USA Team should win this game pretty easy as Kobe Bryant and company take their sights on winning the FIBA Americas Tournament! Go USA!!!

Many have said that Michael Vick was the best quarterback that Atlanta ever had. I’m not sure about that and others have stuck out to me. Steve Bartkowski was a great quarterback and had a long career in Atlanta. It would be hard to put Vick ahead of him. Chris Chandler led the team to a Super Bowl and wasn’t here as long as Vick was. He was older and more mature but since Vick is better, he should have accomplished that feat sooner. Then factor in Matt Schaub and what he done on his arrival in Atlanta. He got a lot more playing time in the preseason, but if you just count the minutes that would equal Vick’s, then he beat Vick out every year in the preseason. I’m not even sure Vick was the best QB on his team, much less in Falcon’s history.

Vick wouldn’t throw the ball to his receivers. His receiver was a tight end in Alge Crumpler who got a lot of opportunities. Last year the receiving guys got a lot of blame for drop passes, but I don’t see how you can blame them when they were never thrown the ball. Most NFL teams 2nd receivers will get 4 to 6 catches a game. Vick’s leading receivers were lucky to have 4 attempts in a single game. Vick just never learned to pull the trigger and throw the ball more to his receivers. Vick was never a good quarterback in this league, when you think of what a quarterback’s main job is (TO THROW TO THE WIDE RECEIVERS!)

He will be known as a better player if he never steps on the football field again. If the coaches would have developed his game in a different way, Vick could have became a better QB. Dan Reeves and Jim Mora Jr. kept trying to make Vick into a typical QB and it was plain to see that it wasn’t going to work.

The Falcons have never let guys win jobs in Preseason football. They let their 3rd and 4th string guys battle it out for positions, but never let the first string and 2nd string go at it. This was a problem and is still a problem with the new coach. Harrington has been awarded the starting QB job and hasn’t even earned it yet. The results in not developing a first string crew will show up on Sundays. The Falcons will win more games this year without Vick then they would have with him. Rich McKay has missed badly on drafts lately and this year it was solid with the Jamaal Anderson pick. However, the Falcons could have had Anderson with the 10th pick, which was their original pick before shipping Matt Schaub off to Houston. The Falcons gained nothing by swapping their 10th pick for the 8th overall pick in this year’s draft.

The Falcons lost more games than they won last year. Why would you even want Vick back? The guy led a team to a 7 win season!

Tomorrow will be the debut of Halloween at the movies. It will be Rob Zombie’s take on the classic version from the 70’s. I really like the Halloween Movies and they rank right up there with Friday the 13th and the Nightmare on Elm Street Movies. It should be good and judging from the preview we will get to learn more about Michael as a child. The previous Halloween Movies have just touched on it here and there.

I will be going to see this movie and I will probably go during the day and catch the first one they show at my local theatre. I’m so excited to see it, so the sooner the better for me. It is best to watch horror movies at night, but it’s different in a theatre. It feels like nighttime when you go to the movies. It’s a lot like going to a Chinese restaurant in the way you don’t feel like you are in the USA anymore. I’m just wondering if Rob Zombie will do a 2nd movie to this one from the Halloween series. I guess we will get some hints when we find out how this one ends tomorrow!
