You always want to make sure you remember those special days that you have with your spouse, friends, or family. If it’s a birthday or a day like that, then you really want to be sure you have them marked on the calendar somewhere. You don’t want to forget a birthday that someone close to you might have coming up. The anniversary is always a big deal too! You certainly want to have an anniversary gift already picked out way in advance before that day comes up on you.

Now probably the best way to insure that you don’t forget these days, is to mark them all down on a calendar. Make sure you check your calendar often, so you don’t feel bad when you forget a special day that someone might be having soon. It’s fun acting like you don’t know nothing about a birthday or anniversary coming up and that certain person is trying to drop you hints about the big day. Now it’s not fun when you forget and you feel about as low as a person can feel for forgetting. I like the idea of tying a string to your finger so you don’t forget, but obviously that can make you look bad if that person sees that string around your finger. Just do your best to keep your spouse, friends, and family in mind; when those special days do roll around and I’m sure they won’t forget you either!

The Atlanta Braves made a big trade today where they gave up one of the best minor league shortstops in all of baseball in Elvis Andrus. The sky is the limit for this kid and he already has a major league glove. They are just waiting for his bat to catch up to the major league pitching. The Braves also sent a talented catcher in Jarrod Saltalamacchia that I’m sure was hard for them to give up. It’s hard to find a place to play him when the Braves already have Brian McCann as their everyday catcher.

Now the Braves sent these two players in addition to two minor league pitchers to the Texas Rangers and will be getting relief pitcher Ron Mahay and the kid that played for the Georgia Tech YellowJackets in Mark Teixeira. Teixeria is a big bat that the Braves really need in the 4th spot after Andruw Jones has been failing from the cleanup spot. The fans in Atlanta are going to love having Teixeira in a Braves uniform, because most of them can remember when Teixeira was playing close to Turner Field over at the Georgia Tech baseball field here in Atlanta. It’s not just the power that he brings, but he currently has a .297 batting average that will help the Braves out a lot in that 4th spot.

This deal isn’t official yet, but should be sometime on Tuesday if all the medical checkups pan out on all the players involved.

Technology never ceases to amaze me and it just makes our lives better each day. I think there must not be much to talk about in the news these days and a couple of sports stories are getting too much hype in my opinion. The Michael Vick dog fighting case and the referee that placed bets in the NBA are getting too much attention. I see the concerns in both cases, but I see these as two isolated incidents that have 2 individuals that are responsible for the problems they are creating. It looks like the easy thing to do is just to relieve both people from their duties and the leagues they represent will not be hurt at all by these latest episodes of media hype in the news.

Now I think fighting dogs is wrong, but pit bulls are very mean dogs. I think these dogs should be erased from the face of the earth all together. These dogs have attacked innocent people and in some cases kids. These dogs for the most part are mean and have no place in our society. People are suffering from injuries caused by these dogs and their owners are currently serving jail time for their dog’s behavior. I see very few cases where these dogs should be owned by citizens and all the bad things that come from pit bulls out weigh the good things by far. I realize a few of these dogs are good with people and make good pets. It’s rare to find the good pit bulls and the bad pit bulls are more abundant than the good ones. The charges against Mike Vick are serious because he could face 6 years behind bars, it’s not the fact that he was mean and treated these animals in a cruel way. I know my statement isn’t going to be very popular with animal lovers, but I just have no respect for pit bulls or their owners.

Now the referee was apparently placing bets on long shots and was helping his self and the mob to make money off NBA games. I assume these upsets that occurred that had his helping hand in them, didn’t do anything to really effect the NBA playoffs or a team’s chances for the playoffs. I’m sure the team that lost still made the playoffs, and the team that won, probably still finished in the lottery. I know this isn’t a good thing for the sport, but let’s not make it into a bigger deal that what it really is. He will no longer be under the NBA’s payroll and this problem is solved for the most part.

The two commissioners do need to look at both of these matters and show concern, but neither problem isn’t going to hurt the league as a whole. I’m sure the Falcons will lose money for their home games and they as a team will suffer loses, but the NFL is going to survive this with no bumps in the road. The same goes for the NBA and I don’t see any fans or season ticket holders not going out and supporting their favorite team, because of what one referee did. Let’s don’t over hype these problems. They do need to be reported on and action needs to be taken on both fronts, if these two people are indeed guilty. I think PETA and the NFL are going down a bad road by convicting Vick on his charges before he gets his day in court. I see these two organizations making unethical choices in their pursuit to punish a man that has not been proved of any wrong doings yet.

I enjoy watching the NFL and NBA every year and I am not going to let one quaterback or a referee stop me from enjoying these 2 sports that I love so much. Just for the record, the Falcons are my favorite NFL team and I will still continue to watch them with or without number 7 on the field. Just out of curiosity, let me know which one of these incidents do you think is the worse one? Is Vick or the Ref causing more problems for their sporting leagues?

I haven’t played in any pool tournaments lately, but I really like to play in them. Pool tournaments are a good way to keep your game polished and thriving. It’s not a good idea to take any time off from shooting pool. The more you can play and play at a high level, is the way you ultimately get better. Sometimes it’s hard to play at a high level when you are just playing your friends in a friendly game of pool. Pool tournaments give you something to play for and will make you shoot every shot to your best.

Now I like playing at the bigger establishments, but the better players usually play at these pool tournaments. I have had better luck at the smaller pool halls, but you don’t win as nice of a prize that some of the bigger pool halls give out. Now the smaller pool halls usually have poor tables, low lighting, and there might be something like tables or bar stools that will be in your way when you’re trying to shoot shots when the cue ball is on the rail. I have also shot at some of the pool halls where a wall or pole coming down from the ceiling blocks you from getting down and getting a comfortable shot. These are some of the problems you can face, but your opponent has to face the same conditions, so it evens itself out. I like the way a lot of people sing at You Tube. There is one teen that is from Mexico that sticks out in my opinion and she has really been making some great videos. It’s Alex the YouTube Sensation from Mexico who has been uploading videos at You Tube for about the last 8 months. She is a great singer and sometimes she just puts up videos that are with her talking. I haven’t really seen nobody else that is as good as Alex and she is my favorite singer at YouTube.

It’s been fun watching Alex’s videos and following her progress over the last several months. She really seems to be getting comfortable over at YouTube and you can tell that she enjoys uploading her videos there. You can just go look at any one of her videos and see all the people leaving replies for her and Alex takes the time in most cases to reply back to everyone that leaves replies. As her fan base and subscriber base over at YouTube continues to grow, I’m not sure Alex will always be able to get to everyone’s reply with her own reply back to them. Then again, Alex never ceases to amaze me and she just might be able to reply back to everyone’s replies for a long time to come.

I really like this latest video that she has done with the Justin Timberlake song. It turns out that her YouTube idol got signed to a contract by Justin Timberlake, and Alex actually heard Esemee Denters singing this Justin Timberlake song. After hearing Esemee Denters singing it, Alex wanted to give it a try. I think she done a great job on it and I think it is one of the best videos she has made over at You Tube. I’m sure she will be making more great videos in the future and this will eventually just be one of many that the You Tube Sensation will have in her video list at You Tube.

There is a lot of talent and abilities that you can see from this You Tube Star, but her sense of humor, manners, and her attitude is what seems to separate Alex from most of the other people that is uploading videos over at YouTube. Alex really enjoys singing and playing music and I think she would be happy doing either one of them when she gets older. I just keep thinking that I’m going to see her on a commercial or tv show someday, because the way her personality comes out on her webcam. It’s easy to see why she might very well have a future in television or on the big screen doing some big Hollywood Movie.

Now the reason Alex is singing this video by Justin Timberlake, is because Esemee Denters was singing it. Alex really has a lot of respect for Esemee and she has even said that she thinks Esemee is the best over at YouTube. It just so happens, that Esemee started her singing career at YouTube and got noticed by the big record execs from the videos she was uploading at You Tube. She drew so much attention to her You Tube videos that a big star like Justin Timberlake took notice and now Esemee Denters works for Justin Timberlake’s Record Company. So that just goes to show you, if you have talent then somebody is going to find you eventually.

Alex has mentioned that she isn’t trying to follow the footsteps of Esemee Denters. In fact, I don’t think Alex is following  any one true path right now, and being only 15 years old, I’m sure we can understand that most young teenagers haven’t decided on any one path to try and follow. I believe Alex does like her music enough, that she will always keep that close by. I’m not sure which one she will be doing more of with music (singing or playing), but I bet music will always be close by in Alex’s Future. Wow! Seems Harry Potter broke all the records with it’s latest book to hit the shelves. I have watched some of the movies about Harry Potter, but haven’t read any of the books. It’s really something more for the kids in my opinion, but I do know a lot of adults that are infatuated with the Harry Potter stories. So Harry Potter is in some ways like a Shrek Movie, where it can entertain the adults and the kids. I think this is the best way to have a mega hit movie or book, is when you have the ability to entertain the youngest of children or the eldest of people. I’m not 100 percent sure, but it seems like there are 3 movies that are already out there (at least 3), and I guess they will now be making a 4th Harry Potter Movie with this new book that has just came out? If anyone knows the way these Harry Potter books and movies are coming out, then be sure to let me know. I know of 3 movies that are out now and I might have missed one. I’m assuming that each time a book comes out, they go and make a movie for it. I can’t wait to see the movie for this latest book that just came out. It must be pretty good for it to become one of the best selling books ever in it’s first weekend at the bookstores.

Its fun getting together with the boys and going out and doing stuff. Sometimes it’s fun just to stay at home and having a friendly poker game. We usually get in those that start in the evening time and will last most of the night. We have played all through the night and were still betting on our cards when the sun was coming up.

Now normally we just play on a regular-old kitchen table for our poker games. I would like to have a real poker table. I am going to have to get with the fellows and maybe we can all pitch in on a new poker table. I think it would be fun to go shopping for poker tables and see all the ones that are on the market today. You have some that are cheap and in some cases it’s not a table, but just a top to put on an existing table. Then there are the higher end tables that I would really like to have. Some of them are really nice, and having one of those tables just adds excitement right from the start of the game. One of the 8 player tables that are oval would probably be my perfect poker table. I would definitely want one that could sit 8 people; you never want to leave anyone out of a poker game. Especially when that someone has money!

Now if you love your truck and take care of it a lot, I’m sure your interested in all the gadgets you can get for it. I’m sure you already spend a lot of time and money on keeping your truck clean, unless you just have a work truck that you don’t care how clean it is. It seems like there is a new toy being made everyday that you can add to your truck. It can be fun adding on all the bells and whistles to your truck. Now there are so many truck accessories on the market today, you can buy enough of them that it would probably cost as much as a whole new truck would. It’s fun to go shopping for them though to get a new toolbox, hitch cover, additional lights, or things like that. Adding a few more accessories to your truck is just like you getting a new truck. If you have recently added any new gadgets to your truck, then let me know about it. Tell me some things you put on your truck that has made it so much better, and maybe tell me some things you thought you would like, but once you bought it and put it on your truck, you didn’t really like it. Maybe you can save me or someone else some money, by recommending something not to get.

Even if you don’t have good credit, you can still get credit from a lender. It’s become so competitive that lenders will take the risk and loan money out to people that don’t have a clean credit history. So if you have messed up in the past, don’t feel like you can’t get bad credit loans, because they are out there. My Date with Drew is a pretty interesting movie for anyone that hasn’t seen it yet. Now this is a documentary style movie and it starts from a game show. The main person in this movie just won $1100 from a game show and is now trying to figure out how to spend the extra money. He comes up with the idea to get a date with his childhood idol Drew Barrymore. Now this is an ordinary guy that has 11 hundred dollars and 30 days to get a date with Drew Barrymore.

It’s really great to watch him try all the things he does to just get in contact with her. You can imagine for an ordinary person that has no Hollywood connections, that this would be a daunting task. I just wonder if this movie will open the door for other people to try and follow some of their childhood idols. While watching this movie it made me think of people I would want to try this with. If I copied the exact same methods as the guy in this movie did, I think I would go for Alyssa Milano. I had a crush on her from all the Who’s the Boss episodes. She was born in December of 72′ and I was born in November of 72′, so I’m a month older, but we are basically the same age. I think I have seen all of her movies and commercials she has done. I would definitely go the Alyssa Milano route, if I followed this movie’s objective.

Now I have a lot in common with Alyssa. I’m a blogger and she is too! She understands she has a voice and can make changes with it, so she takes advantage of that. Some people in Hollywood aren’t like that and it’s great to see someone use their power for positive changes in the world. Now there is an official Alyssa Milano website that you can go to and see one of her blogs from there. She is also a big Dodgers fan and has a MLB blog. Hey Alyssa……if you are reading this right now, what are my chances of getting you in a movie like the one that was done for Drew Barrymore?  

I’m not going to spoil the ending for the My Date with Drew movie. I do highly recommend watching this movie and see if you can relate to the guy in this movie. The part I like best in this movie, was that the guy was not rich. It was great to see him struggle financially and debating if he should take a dead end job with E Entertainment or continue his pursuit for Drew Barrymore. I know if I took out for a journey to get a date with Alyssa Milano, then money troubles would be a concern for me too. I would have to sacrifice things in my life and even then I wouldn’t be guaranteed to even meet Alyssa Milano.

I’m not sure if I want to step out and try to go for this or not. I think I would need a sign or a lot of support and encouragement for me to create a part 2 to this movie. Obviously my title would be “My Date with Alyssa” and I might be able to find the guy in this movie to help me with any ideas or suggestions for me to be successful in getting a date with Alyssa Milano. Tell me what you think and is there any hope for an ordinary guy like me living on the other side of the United States (Georgia) to try and get a date with a California Actress that is as big as Samantha Micelli from Who’s the Boss?

Awwww ……how many times have we seen that little commercial? I think we would all like to go to Disney World. I’m sure it’s great going after you won the Super Bowl, but us ordinary folks can go too! Disney World isn’t just for Super Bowl MVP’s, but the average Joe is always welcomed to go down to the main attraction in Orlando. Ok, she really didn’t get 10 million dollars, but I’m sure it felt like 10 million. A young red-headed waitress working at a Pizza Hut in Indiana was struggling to pay for her college courses and was going to have to drop some classes, because she lacked the financial support to continue. Now a long time customer that had been coming into the Pizza Hut in Indiana heard about the waitresses troubles and decided to help in a big way. It wasn’t 1o million dollars, but she did write the waitress a nice 10 thousand dollar check and put it in an envelope. The long time customer said she left it as a tip for the young waitress and really wanted to see her continue her college courses.

Now the story as great as that might sound, does have a bit of a tragic side to it. The lady that left the tip had recently lost her husband and daughter in a car accident and won a settlement in that tragic event. The woman really wanted to put the money to good use, and she couldn’t think of anybody that deserved some of that money more than the friendly waitress she had got to know at the Pizza Hut in Inidana.

I really admire the woman that lost her husband and daughter and how it would have been so easy to turn against the world. I couldn’t imagine all the hurt and sorrow she felt from that awful accident. It’s great to see someone that got hurt that bad, is still willing to help someone else out with their troubles. I’m sure the Pizza Hut waitress probably felt like her worries was bad, since she was going to have to drop her college courses, because she didn’t have the money to continue. I think she probably learned that valuable lesson that we all do at some point and time in our lives. No matter how bad we think our problems are, there is always somebody else that is worse off than we are. I’m sure the Pizza Hut waitress will never forget it, and I bet when she gets a great paying job from that education, I bet she will help somebody else out and that love will continue to flow for a long time down the road, as good deeds will get passed from hand to hand.
