Two things you would never want to eat at the same time. I’m not sure why these two things can’t get a long. I’m not a chemist, but I know these two items don’t agree with each other. Just dropping one mentos in a bottle of diet coke, will cause an eruption to happen. The hard part is creating a delivery method. Once you find a good delivery system, then just a few mentos can cause diet coke to soar several feet in the air. This really isn’t something you want to tell the kids about, because it could be dangerous. Just show them what happens, and don’t let them know its just mentos and diet coke that causes this to happen.

The air carrier Air Tran no longer wants Falcon star quarterback Michael Vick as a spokesmen for them anymore. They say it has nothing to do with his recent ties to dog fighting. A home that Michael Vick owned was raided by officials searching for drugs, and found a elaborate dog fighting operation taking place in the home. Vick denies any connections to dogfighting, but many witnesses are now coming forward to disprove his claims.

One of the benefits of being a spokesman for Air Tran was the ability to fly for free anytime that you wanted to. So that’s a nice little luxury to have as a spokesman for the airliner. They will now look to the running back from the Falcons, as their spokesman. They said Warrick Dunn was the direction they wanted to go, and it wasn’t with Michael Vick. Have you seen that show? Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader is a pretty good new show that is coming on FOX now. Jeff Foxworthy hosts the show, and some of his reading skills might not be 5th grade level, but he keeps the show interesting. It’s basically a game show that people can win money on. Its fun seeing trivia questions on knowledge that we learned in grade school.

The show came on tonight (Thursday) and had some pretty tough questions. Between 10 and 20, how may squares are between them numbers? How many pecks are in a bushel? Do you know the answers to them? I got the first one right, but I wasn’t a 100 percent positive on my answer. The adult contestant  got that one right too. I didn’t know how many pecks were in a bushel, and I was way off on that one. If you think you know the answers to any one of them questions, then leave me a reply. About 10 years ago, my uncle took me out on a fishing trip. He had a pontoon boat that went about 5 mph, and that was at full speed too! So there was all kind of speed boats, and people on jet skis that were blowing past us. Getting to your fishing spot in a pontoon boat is not the quickest way. It probably is good about getting in a cove though, because you are moving so slow, you will sneak up on the fish.

Even though that boat didn’t go fast, I can remember being on the lake that day so clearly. This was in the middle of summer, and we were having high 90 degree temperatures during the day. We put his pontoon boat on the water while it was getting into the evening part of the day. So the sun was starting to go down, there was a cool breeze through our hair, as we was coasting on the water. The sky was so glowing with a few clouds and the setting sun putting an orange glow on them. It was really something to see. I’m sure that boaters get to see things like that a lot, being out on the water.

As for the fishing part of the trip. We really didn’t catch any during the daylight hours. I think we caught a few small crappie at night, and I caught one catfish with a rod I just had sitting out in the water. It had a worm on it, and I had pretty much forgotten about it, and a few hours later it was bent over, with a catfish on the other end.

Now my uncle doesn’t have that pontoon boat anymore. He’s stepped it up, and has got a faster boat now. He will tell anybody that is interested in buying a boat for the first time, that they better get something they can move around on out there. He really stresses the importance of having a boat that will get you to where your wanting to go. So you don’t waste time out there trolling from one area to another.

Now this new boat can really move that he has now. It’s like riding a car on the water, cause I’m sure it’s doing about 70 mph out there. He does enjoy the new boat better than the pontoon boat. It’s just not made for fishing like the pontoon was, but you can still fish from it. It’s just a little different is all. He takes real good care of it, and has it parked in his garage. Even with the boat in the garage, he still uses a boat cover. So he believes in taking care of his boat. Starting with Spiderman 3, Shrek the Third, and now Pirates of the Carribbean: At World’s End is part 3 too. So we have 3 big movies, and they are all the 3rd sequel of thier originals.

It’s pretty weird at how all these 3 came together in just a short amount of time to do that. I wonder how many theatres are running out of three’s for their movie signs? All 3 of these movies placed 1, 2, and 3 at the box office this past weekend. Pirates was first, Shrek was 2nd, and Spiderman 3 was 3 at the box office. Since all three of these movies are doing well, I’m sure we will be seeing a 4th part to each one of these. I just wonder which one will be first? Spiderman has the biggest lead, since it came out before the other two did. I guess all three movies planned their opening weekend around one another. I’m sure the 4th part to these movies wouldn’t open up in the same weekend. It would be fun to see Spiderman 4, Shrek 4, and Pirates of the Caribbean 4 all open up on the same weekend, and see who would win in the battle. Judging by opening weekend sales, Spiderman 3 is looking to win the box office match this year, for the sequels of three.

The legend of D.B. Cooper still lives today. Which is actually Duane Cooper, but was mistakenly named D.B. by a newsreporter, and the name has stuck. D.B. Cooper did one of the most amazing robberies in American History. He first hi-jacked an Northwest Airlines flight 305 that was leaving Portland and bound for Seattle. He was sitting in Seat 18C, wearing sunglasses and a dark suit, handed a flight attendant a note. It said he had a bomb and threatened to blow up the Boeing 727 unless he received $200,000 cash and four parachutes when the plane landed. The man in Seat 18C purchased his ticket under the name “Dan Cooper.”

When the plane landed in Seattle, DB Cooper was given his parachutes and the 200,000 dollars that he requested. He released about 3 dozen passengers, and a couple of the flight crew members. He then instructed the pilot to fly toward Mexico, and at an altitude of 10,000 feet. Somewhere along the journey, DB would jump out of the Northwest Airlines Plane and would parachute down with the money with him. He done all of this the day before Thanksgiving in 1971.

The FBI started a massive manhunt for D.B. Cooper, that lasted for several months. It was a very costly manhunt, as they were using so many resources to capture the man that got away with 200,000 dollars of cash. Nothing from the investigations ever help to capture D.B. Cooper. Now more than 3 decades later, there’s still not much new in the case.

There are several people that have claimed to be D.B. Cooper, but nothing has materialized yet. The FBI has 2 canidates that they have strong suspicions about. Then just recently a couple of amateur investigators made a segment on Entertainment Tonight. They are claiming a resident in Oregon is D.B. Cooper, and have even written a book about it. The man does fit the profile, since he is a skydiver, and has been in trouble with the law before. He also called the FBI, just 2 hours after D.B. Cooper had jumped, saying that it wasn’t him, and if they needed any help, he would be happy to. This man from Oregon was apparently struggling for money at the time, and later on was able to buy over 30 acres of land with his own personal airport on it.

Another famous claim, was the death bed confession of a Florida man. He was on his death bed, and told his wife, that he was Duane Cooper. His wife didn’t know what that meant at the time, and later on, found patterns that was consistent to what her late husband was saying. The picture of this man back around the time in 1971, is a close resemblance to the sketch artist drawing of the skyjacker.

The case still remains listed as an active FBI Investigation, and nothing has been closed on the D.B. Cooper Case. It’s the only sky-jacking in the world, that has never been solved. There was also a movie that came out in 1981 that was called The Pursuit of D.B. Cooper.
